for all the he said she said about who would've done who to what if whomever was president or not, we can all see in plain sight that there are not just americans, not just republicans, but american republican congressmen and women who are cheering putin on.  they are on team-russia.  they are actively rooting against our interests in the name of "america first".

regardless of whatever trump said he wanted to do at some bullshit media appearance, he is the reason for the matt gaetz/jim jordan/margorie taylor fuckheads of the world spewing their nonsense.  in a war where we're not directly involved, this is a pretty defining moment for americans.  i'm grateful some are making it so easy.

In truth, this is always the argument that autocratic types use.  I recall a Saudi guy on TV talking about how much they respect women so much, they want them in the home and not doing dirty man's work.   Neo-Nazi's are not racist, they are just trying to preserve white blood.   Republicans are not all traitors, they just fawn over America's enemies, try to weaken American institutions, undermine our strategic advantages (education, infrastructure, budget) and exploit divisiveness while weakening our alliances and destroying our middle class and trying to overthrow our government.

If this doesn't win Twitter today, it's pretty close

A masterpiece that rivals the one in Siena (longcat spoiler):

Spoiler

The Allegory of Good and Bad Government is a series of three fresco panels painted by Ambrogio Lorenzetti between February 1338 and May 1339. The paintings are located in Siena's Palazzo Pubblico—specifically in the Sala dei Nove ("Salon of Nine"), the council hall of the Republic of Siena's nine executive magistrates,[2] elected officials who performed executive functions (and judicial ones in secular matters). The paintings have been construed as being "designed to remind the Nine [magistrates] of just how much was at stake as they made their decisions".[3]

Considered Lorenzetti's "undisputed masterpiece",[4] the series consists of six different scenes (the titles are all modern conveniences):

Allegory of Good Government
Allegory of Bad Government
Effects of Bad Government in the City
Effects of Bad Government in the Country
Effects of Good Government in the City
Effects of Good Government in the Country

Not surprised things aren't going swimmingly for the Russian military.  The only reason the Russian Army looks even somewhat competent is because the Russian Navy exists.

If you want a laugh, go watch some videos on YouTube about the Pacific 2nd Squadron in the Russo-Japanese War.

The podcast, 15 Minutes of Fascism, in an episode describing what fascism is and is not discusses that sentiment. Family, family, family is repeated but that family must fit an archetype and the will subverted to the strongman leader of the state.

Seeing these countries and their leaders do whatever they can to support Ukraine is pretty amazing. None of them want to go back to Soviet-era life after seeing what democracy is like.

It’s the worst form of government there is, except for all the rest of them.

I guess they figured twice in one century was enough. They're sitting this one out. All except England, and they won't last very long.
