Regular season predictions:

98 wins- cruise to the division title

JV- top 5 in CY Young award voting- looks like his old self most of the year

Pena- league average as a rookie- not bad.  We see Leon get called up at some point in time.

Yorgone with 45 HR's

LMJ comes back August 1- looks good headed into the playoffs.

Forest Whitley comes up as a middle reliever sometime in July or August and makes the playoff roster.

Bregman gets his groove back and finishes 6th in the MVP voting- the highest of any Astro- slightly above Alvarez who finishes 8th.

We get an impact bat and a middle reliever at the deadline.

The Astros are 39 games below 500.  101 and 61 gets us over 500 for the history of the franchise.  Lets make that happen.

MIKE TROUT OF, LOS ANGELES ANGELS

Angels manager Joe Maddon said he's optimistic Mike Trout (illness) will be ready for the team's season opener on Thursday.

Trout has been held out of the exhibition Freeway Series against the Dodgers over the last two nights because of a stomach bug, but he took batting practice at Angel Stadium on Tuesday and will do another side workout on Wednesday. Everything is pointing in the right direction for Trout to be in the Opening Day lineup Thursday evening against the visiting Astros.
