2022 Houston Astros Thread

The Stros have enjoyed some nice breaks lately. LMJ threw off a mound this week. Odorizzi looked like an automatic ACL, and it’s just a ligament strain. Altuve’s hammy wasn’t bad at all. Neither was Peña’s knee.

Knocking on wood. Injuries gutted the team last year. The 2021 World Series looks a lot different with Verlander and LMJ.

Pena didn't look comfortable after his single where he was thrown out trying to turn it into a double. I think he's playing through it right now. After the next 3 days they get a day off, so he's probably not playing Wednesday.

Yeah Pena is clearly not 100%. He seems.to be limping/favoring that leg after every run.

Would suck to lose him for an extended period of time. Beside the fact that it would hurt the team, he's currently running away with the ROY.

With the way the Astros handle injuries, this is something that is nagging, and not serious. Maybe a bone bruise or something like that. After the Cleveland series, the Astros will have plenty of off days moving forward.

I really want the Astros to draft Melendez. 5 picks in the Top 140, which is likely his projection.

In fact, I’d look over any Vanderbilt kid very closely

Jack Leiter, the Rangers’ savior from Vandy, has had a few decent outings but several absolutely atrocious ones. He’s not the sure thing they were hoping for.

do we know the pitching matchups for the cleveland series?

scoretracker shows plesac tonight but baseballpress shows mckenzie.  we'll miss bieber, but if mckenzie is also pushed back for some reason, i wouldn't be too upset.

need 2/3 here or a sweep.

There must be a reason the official guardians page doesn’t have the probables yet, but fwiw:
