I think that is the second start in a row that Framber had had an issue with calls and got a little perturbed. But he seems to channel it into bearing down and striking people out. He’s gonna be a mainstay for years to come. That mental and intestinal fortitude is special. I like the cut of his jib.

Crazy how underpaid Framber is right now!  28 yo starter with ace/boss stuff and he's only making 3mm this year and won't be a FA until 2026 when he's 32.

Melendez is destroying AA over the past month at only 20 while allegedly sitting in the mid 90s.

By the beginning of next season the Astros could have three TOR prospects ready for the majors in Brown, Whitley, and Melendez.

he's listed at 5-8. he must have had a hellish april and may

Melendez, 20, recorded a 2.01 ERA (5ER/22.1IP) with 31 strikeouts, 0.90 WHIP and a .145 opponent batting average in five appearances including four starts in June for Double A Corpus Christi.

On the season, Melendez is tied for ninth in the Texas League in strikeouts (68). The right-handed pitcher is rated as the Astros 13th overall prospect by MLBPipeline.com.

Yep. Stepped their game up this year and embraced the dark side. They are hating on everyone and it is glorious.

-sketch
-talk the talk better walk the walk
-halo and goodbye
-maldy just wantz to have fun
-go ahead homerun...just like we Drew it up (off Drew Smith)
-city of queens? Nah city of kings (tuck hr)

And those are just from the past week

He will easily make over $30M in 2025 and 2026 combined, if the Astros don't give him an extension after this season, similar to the one they gave Lance.

Lol, not even halfway through the season and we're 99.99% favorites to win the division. Current projections have us finishing 101-61 (on average), and that may be conservative based on our remaining strength of schedule.

Nobody else in the AL West is projected to finish over .500.

Nobody else in the AL (aside from NYY) is even projected to win over 90.

If I hear one more person complain about Maldonado's bat....

Idgaf...  He could lay the bat on the ground and stand there scratching his ass...  Don't care... Dude cutrently gets all the pitchers to pitch like Greg Maddux on steroids... Balls are swinging from left to right... So maybe not on steroids... 80 to 100 mph and striking out errbody...

Best staff in baseball and people want to make a change to get an extra hit every other game? F that...
