looks like FX but also streams on Hulu.

That's how I'm watching it. Don't have cable but get Hulu for free through my cellphone service (now T-Mobile, was Sprint).

I'm loving this show. Marcus, the pastry guy, might be my favorite character.

it's "fx on hulu" so i think it's only on hulu as part of their partnership.

if you don't have hulu, you should, it's the best streaming service (most content, just not original content).

finished it up today, best show in a while.  if you don't like it after 2 episodes, you probably won't.

I keep meaning to do the Hulu/Disney/ESPN bundle.

Pay the extra $5 for ad free. Hulu has a brutal amount of ads.

yeah we’ve never had the ad version. that would drive me nuts.

I'll give Peacock a fair amount of credit. Plenty of content, and very recent theater movies in their library. I have the mid tier package for free via my internet provider. There are a ton of ads during shows, but they run 2 minutes of ads before movies, and that's it. So basically, I just watch movies on Peacock.

Hulu is pretty strong on show content, but their movie selection is pretty poor.

If you'd paired Peacock and Hulu you'd have a very strong streamer.

yeah, we watch a ton of sitcom reruns, mostly just in the background or before we go to bed, and there's nothing out there that even approaches hulu for this.  i would argue that every other streaming service could combine their libraries and not match up to hulu.  between that and having every major network's (minus cbs) first-run shows the next day makes it a no-brainer.

the partnership with fx (a network with a ridiculously high hit rate) is icing on the cake.

Just finished it’s really well done. The last episode is a gut punch in a good way.

Weird, I’ve never felt compelled to react to acting in a series show, but I’m blown away by the acting. Sidney is fantastic. I’m 100% invested in that girl’s success.

And that dude from Shameless - he’s the real deal. Any actor that can look into (or slightly off) camera for a three minute monologue without break, and give that range of facial emotion, has my respect.

And I’d like Richie to get offed at some point.

If you have amex plat you can get all except about ~$1 of the price of this bundle inclusive of ad-free hulu credited back to your amex account.

To be precise The Bear is "only on Fx on Hulu." Not sure why it's "only" but it's the first I've noticed where they've done that, at least on a new show.

there were a bunch of really long shots, either stationary or moving through the kitchen at a frenetic pace.  impressive acting and directing pretty much all around.

another that stuck out (besides the one you mentioned) is when they're out back taking a smoke break.  it had to be 3-4 minutes.  and i think the whole scene that ended with richie getting stabbed in the ass was a long continuous shot through the kitchen to the register.

Enjoying this a lot. I never worked in a kitchen but I’d love to do that for like a month just to get the experience of having my ass kicked in that specific way.

Trust me. You really wouldn't.

You REALLY need to watch Seasons 5 - 7. The Sasha Alexander story arc.
raw

No need to watch the whole season. You can just search Sasha Alexander on your favorite porn site. All the best parts are there. Holy moly Sasha is one of the hottest women that ever lived. NCIS should have never killed her off.

Food service is an absolute ass kicking no matter what your position.

I waited tables for two years, hosted for one, and managed for 6 months before I lost my shit and quit.

Anyone who calls it a skilless profession is a dumb cunt.
