Yes, you got me. I actually want my daughter to get destroyed by men in sports.

You already said that biological men in women's sports was "very rare" and doesn't automatically equate to dominance. So the odds of your daughter getting "destroyed" by a trans female in whatever sport that she gravitates to are what, a couple million to one? Again, a MUCH higher chance that someone you voted for has child pornography on their laptop. Or that she gets her face blown off by an 18 year old at school with a legally obtained firearm.

Is it too much to ask that you keep track of your own fucking argument?

I think it does mean dominance, even if it is rare. I can’t remember any sport I’ve lost to a female in, actually. Can you? This seems like common sense if I’m being totally honest.

I'd pay good money to see you fight a woman who competes in MMA.

If y'all would actually use the report function for the homophobic/transphobic bullshit that is posted here, we wouldn't have to deal with this bigoted idiot nearly as much as we do.

I remember the teeth gnashing people went through when the concept was first introduced. Pretty sure no one has ever been banned with it, and I'm almost as certain that I'm the only person who ever uses it.

I realize that he's mostly just trolling (although he clearly is a massive waste of human life in reality), but I hold out hope for the people not quite as far gone as him that may read his posts and think, "Holy fuck, is that how utterly stupid and hateful I sound too?" and take a second to self-reflect.

I'm naive, I know.

Please tell me what post is homophobic and transphobic. I’m being serious, I will try to avoid using any language that offends you.

yeah, so it's the fact that you seem to imply that only the language you use is offensive that is the problem you are having here.

you know it's possible to be offensive to people without calling them names, right?

you're going to have to do some real work to onvince me this isn't some hateful troll job, hoenstly, because i'm struggling to not ban you for 60 days this next time.

convince me you are a real person who really believes these things.

Ok… point me to what is offending her. If it’s simply the fact that we disagree on the trans issue, then that’s ridiculous.

i don't 100% know, because i'm not her, but i would imagine that using extremely disingenuous dad RAWR arguments like "i don't want dudes destroying my daughter in sports RAWR" is near the top of the list.

also near the top is pretending if you don't use a slur, you aren't offending people with your opinion.

what part of "the trans issue" do you disagree with? can you at least let us in on what "the trans issue" is in your world?

because in my world, it's nothing at all. just like you having the hiccups or someone needing to burp. it just is. it's not an issue. it doesn't need to be an issue. i feel like you are coming at it like someone else is making this an issue. why do you think that?

Ok, well you added some text to your response after I replied. I have two stances that I’ve been pretty consistent on. 1.) Kids should not be given any hormones or have any surgeries and 2.) men should not be competing in women’s sports.

Is this that controversial and if it is, why would someone get banned for these beliefs?

Upthread, he said the truth:  it is about money.   He is not a citizen, merely a taxpayer who views the optimum as no tax, which is the logical result of only supporting tax cuts. This is also offensive, to be exposed to such vile selfishness.  This is at the heart of Poe:  conserve, strengthen, and enforce his world.

What I found anti-LGBTQ is your use of the phrase "protect my daughter" to justify your homophobia / transphobia. Within the context of sports, that makes no sense unless you have her trying out for a contact sport. Maybe she shouldn't do that if you're so concerned about her frail physical nature, but I'm having a hard time thinking which sport would be a danger to her if it involved a transitioned kid.

So, you must've been thinking outside of that context when you're saying she needs to be "protected" from LGBTQ people. And, that, Mr. Poe, is offensive because of the implication that they're a danger to her.

Ok, yeah you’re reaching here. The implication was clear I was referring to the field of sport only,  contact or otherwise. C’mon, you can’t be serious.

This.  See, the reason that we have to ban drag shows, and MANDATE that teachers refer to every student by the gender they were assigned at birth (NO EXCEPTIONS), and mandate that schools can't even MENTION menstruation until kids are over 12, and make sure there are no books in our school libraries that even MENTION the fact that indeed black people were treated pretty shitty, as a matter of both culture and law, for 90% of our nation's history (at least), is.....ummmm....do you realize how much in taxes it costs us to NOT ban/mandate those things?  DO YOU?  Well.....I'm pretty sure it's a lot.  It must be.

It's about the cruelty.  Everything else is just tissue-paper-thin cover.  It is a culture that places the highest value on 1) exalting one's self, and 2) hurting others.  That one-two punch is the only thing of cultural value in Poe's world.  And he insists on using his political power to force his cultural values on everyone else.  It's fascism, and its not much more complicated than that.

Then who would their male politicians try to fuck?

Wait, just caught myself.  Who - OTHER THAN OTHER GUYS THEY MEET ON GRINDR - would they try to fuck?  Because the GQP male politician pool is pretty heavy on "closeted gay" and "unhealthy attraction to underage girls."

But, you know, letting a gay person be gay is the REAL danger.

Ding, ding, ding. Poe sees gays and queers as a threat to his children's well-being for...reasons. Even IF little Megan gets beat by a biological male in her high school swim meet--which he admits is highly, highly improbable--so the fuck what? Is that going to scar her worse than active shooter drills, or her friend Jaxson (with an X) telling her about how he was molested at youth group? Selective outrage. So what are you actually afraid of with regards to the trans community?

That he won't be able to ostracize them or be as openly cruel to him as was once acceptable.  Again, it's not much more complex than that.  They'll write 10,000 words trying to justify themselves, but that sentence is the foundation under all of it.

Trans people used to have the decency to hide, and hang themselves in their basements where we didn't have to see them or hear about it.  And now, they live out in society, as if they were ACTUAL human beings, like the rest of us.  And we can't even call them faggot, and beat them up -- what has America come to?  That's not the America I grew up in and love!  MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!  BEAT UP A QUEER, LIKE WE USED TO BE ABLE TO DO!

Trans women are women, and your continued misgendering of them is anti-trans.

It is obvious that @fattyflattie and @Poe It Up believe the only people that Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of happiness apply to are rich, white, males.  You are both disgusting.

Biologically speaking, no that’s not correct. Hence the discussion about sports.

Meanwhile, Democrats were wanting to expand child tax credits from COVID.

While ignoring Republicans endanger his child’s lives with increasingly lax gun laws.

So weird how they lash out at the LBTGQ community without ever taking a second to address the very serious issues within their own house. So weird.
Oh, did I say weird? Because I meant completely predictable.
I have no issue whatsoever with religious people...just stay in your mother fucking lane.

Fair point.  Kinda on topic and off topic.  And I encourage others to chime in:

Do any of you dads ever feel like our generation and the ones older than us are right when it comes to what the stuff our kids are made of?  By that, I mean...are they too soft?  Not being allowed to make their own mistakes, get hurt, be upset, pave their own way, learn shit on their own, be independent, grow stronger?  Not necessarily saying we're helicopter parents, but are we sheltering them too much and not letting them learn how to be strong and independent at an earlier age?

LOL on this.  I'm in my late 50's and my distance has dropped off due to hip issues.  Even so, I've played with a number of LPGA pros over the years (my club has provided playing privileges to many and currently sponsors a couple), and the tee differentials would not offset the skill level (especially short game, iron play, and putting).  If you as single digit handicap think you could take any of them I'd take that bet (from whatever tees you choose).

Likewise with any professional tennis player.  If you're not at least NCAA level skill and fitness, those ladies would be running circles around you.

bone structure and muscle.  I beg to differ.  and what does it matter that I would have been 3-5 inches shorter if I was born female?  There are tall women. Should the tallest women be ruled ineligible to protect the short women?  What about the women who are strong as fuck, the ones you swear are a little masculine, probably a lesbian too come to think of it.  Should they be excluded from competition? Hell I know a cisgender woman, she drives a monster F250 truck, all jacked up, she owns an irrigation company and I sweatergod she dead lifts more than any of you fuckers.  She's a muff diver too (I'll admit I was smitten for a quick minute when she paid attention to me).  She's ripped strong, like scary strong.  Should she be excluded from competition because she's an outlier?

I 100% get men shouldn't compete with women. That's why 1 year transition isn't enough for me for the NCAA and Olympic games. Either no puberty at all (hey about that legislation that won't let kids transition) or a minimum of 2 years full hormone replacement with monitored levels on the reg so that we can ensure that you are actually transitioning day by day.  Something like that.  My trans folks may not like that, but honestly I really think once transition is done, the competition issue is moot and the outliers that people point to are (1) trans people no doubt (no fakers, no one fakes for competition), and (2) transition hasn't fully taken hold.

I can't speak for golf - though I play recreationally from time to time - but I can speak for tennis. It is a highly, highly technical sport, dependent more on technique, fitness and good decision making in an instant than any sport I've ever played.  It's why you can get run around by a 65 year old woman and lose bagel bagel to her even if you are stronger and think you are better.  You basically need to have an innate and subconscious understanding physics and geometry and how to use both simultaneously on the fly to be successful.

I honestly don't know what the correct answer wrt sports. Obviously, I acknowledge the biological differences. But, I definitely lean towards it being such a miniscule number, and anything we can do to help these individuals going through hell to feel a better sense of belonging, we should.

Poe's worldview where hundreds of cis gender boys men are going to choose to identify as girls--and thus deal with the humiliation, ridicule, and hatred from pieces of shit like him--just to complete in women's sports will never exist, no matter how often his information silo tells him it already does.

And why in the name of God and everything holy does this need to be a legislative priority for anyone?
