Interesting....

We have some pretty good skill position players. It's just everywhere else that is complete shit.

I expect our offense to be pretty good with Briles at times this year but defense is probably still another 2-3 years away from being anything but awful.

I don’t understand why Arkie can’t get any momentum in football.   Stadium after the improvements is nice (not Texas nice, but nice).  The other sports facilities are really top-end (And the non-football sports very competitive) , as is the student/athlete complex.  Campus has had a ton of money put in.  Fayetteville, thanks to the influx of corporate cash in the Northwest Arkansas area, is no longer Fayette-Nam (though it still lacks nice hotels and does not have enough higher-end restaurants).  Lots of Texas kids there now thanks to friendly tuition rates and efforts by Arkie to market heavily in Texas.  The plastic hog-hat wearing idiots have been substantially diluted.  They seem to have issues at the admin/AD level, and probably the Frank Broyles influence (now gone) stunted growth.  Clearly the move to the SEC was unwise, but you’d think they would have progressed further than they have in football.

Arkansas does have the most SEC championship game appearances out of the non-“big 6” programs, but we have had four coaches in 8 years ever since Petrino wrecked his bike after an 11-2 season so it’s impossible to develop any consistency with that much turnover.

We did start the 2015 season ranked and briefly made the top 25 in the 2016 season which was only four years ago, but since then I’m pretty sure we’re on our worst 3-year run in school history. Bielema got lazy and cratered the program and Morris, while he was a solid recruiter, obviously isn’t close to SEC head coach material. Pittman may not be either but at least the players love him, he’s known as a good recruiter and he hired a really good pair of coordinators.

So... so you've had the 7th most appearances.

Wish y'all would schedule more games with Big XII schools. You're a natural rival over here.

Yeah I would rather have our game vs. A&M go to home/home and replace the game in Arlington with a Big 12 team if we absolutely have to have it. We’ve played Texas Tech, Kansas State and TCU recently and have you guys next year and then Oklahoma State after that. Wouldn’t mind playing Baylor or OU (even though it wouldn’t be pretty) every once in a while. There’s a strong Oklahoma connection on our current staff.

I'm a Baylor fan, BTW. Y'all are the one school I wish could make its way to the Big XII sometime. Feel like you'd fit in perfectly with Texas, Baylor, Tech and TCU on history and could rapidly build some mutually hateful relationships with OSU, OU and KSU. Arkansas would be a much bigger game, even when the team isn't doing well, for many Big XII schools than it is for most SEC schools.

I honestly don't see any wins for them this season.

Yeah Ole Miss, Mississippi State or Missouri are the best shot. But two of those are on the road.

Tennessee at home may be close, but we don't deserve the benefit of the doubt right now. Wouldn't be surprised if we played A&M close again either and lose in OT yet again in the most heartbreaking way possible 😅

20 - 0    Arky leads at halftime

1st Half whippin' on old lane-train's team

Arky just committed their first penalty of the game with under a minute left in the 1st half -- now that's a better coached team.  Barry Odom coaching a helluva game.  Catalon with a pick 6

Yeah, big difference with this new staff. Same players except for Franks. Not a lot of talent, but well coached.
