And I’m at work trying to make a deadline so I don’t have time now but I’ll come back later and fill y’all in on the gossip about Kate and Will.

Is this the Kate let William bang her best friend because William likes to get pegged gossip?

Do they still have to have a general election after the sovereign dies?  At least at one time, because the monarch was the authority that called Parliament, Parliament automatically dissolved when the monarch died and a new election had to be called.  But I think they got rid of that at some point.

If they did have to do a general election right now, then that's an absolute nightmare for the Tories.

Anyhoo--I can't help but think this makes Scottish independence a lot more likely.  I think there were a lot of old Scots who kind of personally favored independence, but didn't want to betray the Queen, of whom the are very fond.

No requirement for a new  election.

Nicola Sturgeon will push even harder now for Scottish independence. I’ve lived in Scotland and England and get the Scottish viewpoint, but it’s economically a disaster for them in an economy that depends primarily on fossil fuels.

william had a handle on here called "NowThis."

kate did not care for said predilections.  kate instead asked me to bed her which i reluctantly did...the consequence of which was her seeking to abdicate her position in the royal family and all the riches and privileges that accompany said lifestyle.  never doubt the power of american b.d.e.

She went and died in Scotland, and voluntarily I might add.  It was her favorite place, and you can’t really blame her, given that the alternative was England.

Didn't want to post this on the DT thread, but this photo always cracks me up:

Queen Elizabeth's Relationships With Every US President, Truman to Trump

You know, I was just out one day. Whistling. Loving this wonderful country. This queen comes up to me. The real deal. Crown. Dowdy clothing. You know, I really don't like the dowdy clothes on a woman. Reminds me of Hillary who should be in  jail. Oh, yea. This queen. Tears coming down her face. All down her face. Sad, I thought. But she told me they were tears of joy. She told me what a wonderful president I am. "Mr. President, sir. You're the one with the majesty and highness." Fake news will never report that.

Sadly, so do too many Americans. I mean the British one not the would be fuckwad over here.

Ninety-six is a good run. Huge tracts of land she had. I never gave a shit about her or her imperial tyranny over Ireland.

Was princess Diana going to be queen if not for the car accident?

The high point of my last trip to London was being on a train with our very gracious tour guide - a very sweet 60-something gentleman with an advanced degree in history - and watching his face as my wife very pointedly and animatedly argued that the queen most definitely had Diana killed.

William has always had a history of philandering. Kate was his side piece at Saint Andrews. His buddies called her “The Mattress”.

Kate’s mom, Carol, raised her with the intention of bagging William.

Kate was originally going to Cambridge - where it was assumed William would attend. But he took a gap year at the last minute and then it was announced he would be going to Saint Andrews.

Kate declined her spot at Cambridge and took a gap year and applied to Saint Andrews to follow William.

Her mother stalked the aristo set and discovered what house (dorm) William was going to live in and got Kate in the same dorm.

She wormed her way into his set and became his fuck buddy.

William continued to publicly date other gals and Kate would wait around for when he got bored and horny.

They graduated and her first public appearance as his girlfriend was at their graduation.

She waited around for ten years. William dated around but none of the aristocratic set wanted any part of being in the Royal Family.

They finally got married and Kate did her duty and gave him the heir (George) and the spare (Charlotte).

He continued to have affairs - a London attorney, a Swiss banker, a ballerina. She accepted it and wasn’t threatened because they weren’t any kind of social threat.

After George was born, they lived in Norfolk at Amner Hall. It’s the country home of the aristocracy.

Then he had an affair that was an actual threat because the other woman was real aristocracy. Her name is Rose Hanbury, Marchioness of Cholmondeley. Her husband, David, 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley.

He is the Lord Great Chamberlain, which is a hereditary role and has been acting as the hereditary Lord Great Chamberlain to QEII since 1990 and carries the Imperial State Crown at the Opening of Parliament.

The men in his family have held this role for ages and are therefore very close to the crown and Rose and David are the head bitches of the Norfolk set - known as the Turnip Toffs.

When Kate found out she tried to pull rank and get the Hamburys frozen out but it backfired because even though Kate is a Duchess and future Queen Consort, she’s still a social climbing middle class striving commoner to true aristocrats.

Louis, the third child, was Kate’s “reward” for turning a blind eye.

A few weeks ago it was suddenly announced that Kate and William were pulling their kids from The Thomas Battersea School in London and moving to Adelaide Cottage on the grounds of Windsor Castle and sending the kids to Lambrook School.

A very unexpected and unusual decision. But Windsor and the new school are much closer to her parents in Bucklebury, Berkshire. A 30 minute drive as opposed to the two hours from London.

Adelaide Cottage is modest by royalty standards - four bedrooms and no servants quarters. It was also announced they were giving up their live in staff.

Only Kate has been seen coming and going from Windsor and William seems to still be living in Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace.

They have been arriving separately for their few joint appearances and both have been seen alone with the children with luggage and passing the kids back and forth.

Articles have been referring to the kids in phrases like “Kate’s children, who she shares with William” - which is an unusual way to refer to children of an active marriage.

The gossip is that Adelaide Cottage is Kate’s “separation home” and that they are living apart. And it was chosen so she could be close to her family - Pippa (Kate’s sister) and her husband and kids and James (Kate’s brother) and his wife also live in Bucklebery.

The story is that William wants out but would not divorce while the Queen was alive.

In the last month there have been a few stories touting William as a hands on dad and how he does much of the day to day parenting.

Sooooooooo - Royal followers are reading the tea leaves and claiming that William and Kate are already separated and testing the waters on how the British public will react to another future king getting divorced.

And now that the Queen has finally kicked off, expect to see more stories from the Royal Rota hinting at them having grown apart. They’ve been quiet on the topic out of respect for the Queen.

Also, don’t expect King Charles to plan William’s investiture as Prince of Wales until a decision is made on whether they divorce. The Firm doesn’t want another Diana situation with a Princess of Wales and mother of the future king out of their control.

TL;DR - William is a cheater and Kate is a doormat and word on the street is they’re already separated.

A young boy walked into his parent's room one night, only to walk in on them having sex. His dad hurriedly got up, threw his robe on, and escorted his son back to his bedroom.

The boy asked, "What were you and mommy doing?"

The father replied, "We were just playing bridge."

The son accepted the answer.

Later that night, the father heard a noise coming from the son's room and got up to investigate.

He walked in and found his son pleasuring himself.

"What are you doing!", the father exclaimed.

"I'm playing bridge.", his son replied.

"You can't play bridge without a partner!", his father answered.

"If you have a good hand, you don't need a partner."

That boy was a walker.

Support for the monarchy has steadily gone down the past decade. The Brits have less faith in Charles than Will. And the ruling party just chose an anti-monarchist as PM

I could see it if Charles decides to glue that crown to his head and not give it to Will until he dies. 20-25 years of Charles III doesn’t bode well.

White supremacists believe their genetics and history gives them the god-given right to hold an elevated position in society.  Monarchists take that same basic construct and exaggerates it to absurd proportions.  So yeah, its whole premise is ridiculous.  Without the charisma and the life-long continuity to hold it together, I think it will rattle apart.  Maybe they keep the titles like the rest of the aristocracy, but I think their official duties and protections will diminish, and I could see them recede into background.  I think most of them would rather just be rich than royal anyway.

I obviously don't follow the royal family closely, I do get interested from time to time and go down some rabbit holes because I find some of the dynamics fascinating from a historical and sociological perspective, but one thing I'm almost sure of is that royal gossip is almost always overstated. I have no doubt that Will and Kate have issues, and infidelity is a common theme among monarchs, but I just don't see it as drastically problematic as the gossip suggests. I mean if he was getting pegged on the reg I would expect that there would be more hard proof at this point. Plus, its 2022, I think kink shaming is generally frowned upon, even among the elites.
