was supposed to see glen handsard last weekend in dc.  if he is coming to where you live go, he good.

I’ll always kick myself for missing the Swell Season set at Bonnaroo. I didn’t know who they were at the time and only saw Once later on. It was supposedly epic.

Gottdam Cooter.  Do you have a job?

I say this out of jealously, not spite.

I have young kids so my wife puts them to bed and I go to shows. Unless we are bumping uglies that night, she likes to go to sleep before I get in bed so it’s a win-win for everybody.

I'd be interested to read your review of this show. I love Little Neon Limelight, but I wonder how they sound without Katie on keys and vocals.

Saw Butch Walker last night at Center Stage in Atlanta. Butch is originally from here so his shows always sell out in less than 20 minutes.  Crowd was really in to it and he did a phenomenal job.  For most of the show it was just him on guitar and bass drum.  Usually not the ideal setup, especially for bigger venue (1,000), but the dude is such a pro and his songs are all brilliant.  Plus, he is a fantastic guitar player.

Over the next year; tickets purchased for:

Judas Priest

Depeche Mode (front row, center)

George Strait

Elton John

Are you talking George Strait in Vegas?  If so, I believe REK and Lyle are opening for him again.  They put on about a 45-60 minute show swapping songs back and forth.  Not as good as either in concert, but George puts on a hell of a show still.  I saw him in December and February and they blew the sound board in December with a gun shot effect during Folsom Prison Blues

I’m in Atlanta/Brookhaven

Yeah, That is what I was getting at. Seen several concerts at Lakewood, over the years. Not seen any at the other venues you mentioned but familiar with them. Grew up in NE Alabama. Other than driving through Birmingham and for work, I have spent way more recreational time in Atlanta. Lived one summer in Kennesaw, between my soph and jr year of HS. Also spent the summer between my sr year of HS and freshman year of college, living in Athens, GA. Both times with one of my older brothers.

I think Primus/Mastodon are playing the same day as Dweezil Zappa next month. I'm sure I'll catch one of those shows but not sure which. I've seen both Primus and Mastodon a couple of times each but never Dweezil. But, I think I'm probably more into P/M's catalog than Zappa. Tough call.
