Just the torso. If it’s the whole body then you’re, I mean, your friend is good
Good to know I will throw the legs away today. I mean look at me all confused.... I will tell him to throw the legs away.

Sorry haven't drank my morning blood packet yet so kind of out of it.

If someone wrote a novel/short story in which a serial killer had drugged a 14 year old boy, drilled a hole in his head through which he injected hydrochloric acid, after which the boy escaped nearly naked into the streets, where over the objections of concerned citizens the police escorted the boy back to the killer's apartment and left him there, followed by insisting to the concerned citizens that everything was on the up and up....

The editor/publisher would tell the author that's absurd, that it's an insult to the readers.

And they'd be right.

Milwaukee PD, ladies and gentlemen.

Damn.

Ryan Murphy’s Jeffrey Dahmer series “Monster” is breaking new records. In its second week on the Netflix Top 10 chart, the series has become Netflix’s ninth most popular English-language TV show of all time.

Netflix measures overall popularity by counting hours viewed in a title’s first 28 days on the streamer. After 12 days alone, “Monster” has been viewed for 496.1 million hours — and it still has 16 more days to climb even higher on the chart. According to Netflix’s figures, at least 56 million households have consumed all 10 episodes (approximately 8.8 hours total) of the limited series thus far.

It's an interesting phenomenon, the way we are so drawn to stories like this.

I wonder if it's similar to the roller-coaster/horror movie deal in which we experience being frightened without actually being in any danger (provided the coaster isn't part of a traveling carnival).

I think it's more than that, though.  We don't just rubberneck this kind of stuff, we pack a bag and move in.  I know at least a part of it in my case is an essentially pointless endeavor to understand what's going on in the mind of these guys.  I say pointless because it seems far fetched we'd actually be able to relate to a guy like Dahmer to such an extent we'd say, "Ah!! Now I get it, now I understand."

Sadistic psychopaths are easier to make sense of, like Bundy or the Ice Man Kuklinski, et al.  But Dahmer is a different breed of cat.

Evan peters- I don’t know how you take this role and give this performance without being mentally fucked up during production and a good while afterward.

Plenty of roles in Ryan Murphy projects prepped him to handle it.

Finished it today before the game.  To tell Dahmer’s story in all of its grisly detail and have him come off as someone who you both loathe and feel sorrow/0empathy for is no small feat.  The writer, director and especially Evan Peters pulled off something rare here.

There was always something different about Dahmer. He seemed broken in a very different way from the other big name serial killers.
