Kari says the people don't trust the elections.

Kari doesn't say it's because the Republicans keep telling people not to trust the elections.

Kari is like a lot of Republican politicians and doesn't believe the election was stolen, but she knows her base is dumb enough to believe it.

Man I don’t know what to believe anymore. A friend of mine whose a former local journalist posted that Sooner Poll is really unreliable. But the issues line up that Hofmeister has a chance, as I’ve described above. I’ll party in the streets if she can pull it off.

New Trafalgar poll for AZ

Lake 49, Hobbs 46 - actually is a 2 point swing towards Hobbs, which is rare in a Trafalgar poll this late in the cycle

Current 538 average has them separated by 0.5 points.

This and Wisconsin might be the 2 closest races in the country.

Hobbs really is an awful candidate. Arizona is getting bluer each election cycle, she’s facing a whacko opponent, and she still can’t get a lead in the polls. I mean Kelly is probably going to win by 4 or 5.

Your “Schtick” that any Dem losing is “an awful candidate” doesn’t hold water. Voters are stupid. The GOP has discovered a new trick of putting up newspersons as candidates bc the dumbass public think that equates to credibility. Reading off a teleprompter is somehow credibility

I hope that story blows up in OK. How appropriate that the governor of OK sucks so hard he is oblivious to those stats.

Remember the fact checkers are part of the media, the “enemy of the people,” doesn’t matter.

Tina Kotek, Christine Drazan neck-and-neck in race for governor, new poll finds; support for Betsy Johnson waning

Quote

Democrat Tina Kotek and Republican Christine Drazan remain neck-and-neck in the three-way race for governor, while support for unaffiliated candidate Betsy Johnson is dropping, a new poll commissioned by Kotek’s campaign shows.

Kotek received 40% support compared to 38% support for Drazan in the new poll of 800 likely Oregon voters conducted by Washington, D.C.-based pollster GBAO from Oct. 10 to Oct. 13. Johnson was far behind with just 14% support.

Not a real large scale poll there.

Nike co-founder Phil Knight says he would do anything to take Oregon’s governorship out of Democratic hands

Quote

“One of the political cartoons after our legislative session had a person snorting cocaine out of a mountain of white. […] It said, ‘Which of these is illegal in Oregon?’ And the answer was the plastic straw.”
That was billionaire Nike NKE, -1.30% co-founder Phil Knight, criticizing the Democrat-run state government in Oregon, telling the New York Times on Saturday that he would do anything to block the Democrats in the governor’s race.

Knight is referring to the 2020 decriminalization of possession of small amounts of almost all hard drugs, including cocaine, in Oregon. Further galling the athletic-gear magnate: that, in 2019, Gov. Kate Brown signed a bill into law that prohibits restaurants from automatically handing out plastic straws unless requested.

Knight donated $3.75 million to kickstart former Democrat-turned-independent Betsy Johnson’s gubernatorial campaign. She left the Democratic Party last year and has since led a centrist movement to draw support away from Democratic nominee Tina Kotek.

But as polling found support for Johnson waning, it allowed Oregon’s Republican candidate, Christine Drazan, to shore up support for her campaign. The New York Times reported that Knight donated $1 million to Drazan this month after he told the outlet that the state government was leaning too far left.

Knight, Oregon’s richest man, described himself as an “anti-Tina” person.

The Democrats have had a four-decade stronghold in Oregon, but the latest polls show that, as of Oct. 13, Drazan has a 3-point lead over Kotek, according to FiveThirtyEight. Drazen has 37.4% polling average, while Kotek has 34.3% and Johnson attracts 16.4% support.

She did! She posted a whole video about it a month and a half ago or so ago and said she won’t be able to campaign or debate because of it. Didn’t stop her from flying to Arizona for an event with Kari Lake a few weeks ago or to Florida for a $5,000 plate event last Friday.

This campaign event is part of her hammering that she will work to end the tax in food if she is re-elected. Never mind the fact that the few Democrats in South Dakota, including her challenger, have been pushing that for 20 years. They had a bill that passed the House this last session and she called on her attack dogs to kill it in the senate. She voted against it every time it came up when she was in the SD legislature. And her lap dog campaign communications director, who used to work for Gym fucking Jordan, said she has always wanted to end the food tax. They are just straight lying to the people of South Dakota and it’s probably going to work. If she gets re-elected, we won’t hear about the food tax ever again.
