Abbott doesn't answer any question directly because his team will take his megabucks and selectively edit and skew BR's actual answers to the questions and the majority of Texas voters who are at the football/VB games tonight or elsewhere will be none the wiser because wisdom is not something with which they are familiar.

Wish there was an audience. Beto won that debate going away. There is so damn much to hammer Abbott about, all Beto had to do was play the hits.

And yet, we all know what's going to happen come November.

I meant newly classified as "Tier One", which cuts to Abbott's half true statement that Texas is #1.

Why couldn't he just say we were tied with California? Because he could never say anything positive about that state.

Also felt like there should have been some dig about no audience like at the start of Covid. It looked so weird to be debating in front of no audience.

They're talking to a focus group who watched right now.

Aren’t all of the UC System schools in the AAU?

No idea, but that's obviously a different and more select group. In Texas, I think there's only UT, AnM, and Rice but don't hold me to that.

They are and Abbott knows it and understands the distinction, knowing full well that most Texans won’t. California has 11 AAU schools. Texas has 3.

Sure.  The average Texan "knows" that the CA schools are full of trannies and fags, and that they ALL use the women's restrooms. The average Texan thanks baby Jesus that their state is run by a good Christian man like Greg Abbott, and that they have low taxes. plenty of gun shops, and FREEDUMB
