I'd like a high end center for once. We've had some pretty good ones but nobody elite for a long time.

I’ve watched Cruz in person a couple times, I think he runs away with the center spot.

Gerry thinks (thought?) Cruz was about as good a center as a high school prep we could hope to recruit.  Nasty and sufficient measurables that he should be the best center we’ve seen during Flood’s tenure.

The best solution is to find someone who has played competent OT but knows their NFL future is at guard. It used to be you were better off just staying at tackle the entire time and moving inside at the next level but unless you are a high draft pick caliber guy that narrative has shifted a bit for the draft in recent years. They now like to see at least a little film of you having actually played at guard. It is why you have seen some pretty decent (but not NFL good) OTs the past few portal cycles enter with the intention of moving inside at their new program. Get one of those no matter the cost since it provides an emergency option if something bad happens with Baker or Goosby as well.

OT/OG and then tamper in the best center you can find. I get some people like Gerry keep trying to bring up Cruz and that fucking retard Flood (who should be getting replaced either way) would fight it but Cruz has shown jack fucking shit in practice to suggest he is remotely close to being a viable starting center of the level we should demand. That is per players on our team and staff in our program just in the past few weeks.

That’s the hope. Our team is set up to compete next year but we have to completely remake the OL. Campbell and Hutson are gone. Robertson is mediocre at best. And this may qualify as a hot take, but we could use a tackle to push Baker and Goosby. Those guys looked OK in comparison to the interior, but neither one is exactly Kelvin Banks out there.

The in house options are fucking grim. Stroh is literally the only guy with significant experience and…yuck. Trotting Arch out in his contract year behind a starting IOL of Stroh, Cruz, and Kibble ain’t gonna cut it.

Robertson went through senior night activities. He was soaking things in after the game. Seems like he isn't coming back as of now.

Yeah I saw that video of him soaking it in, too. Now I’m confused on his eligibility status.

He has a year left if he wants it. May just want to graduate and move on.

We have multiple years of Mosley and Wingo should be back. We will either keep Moore, or give him up to Ffrench or Lockett, or give up 2 of those 3 and pick up someone in the portal. Lot's of options and they are all good.

Our offense is stacked next year. We just need to improve the O-Line.

I was thinking Lockett could displace Wingo.  I'm crazy, but Lockett has size, isn't slow and if he can catch consistently, then he's a pretty good replacement.  I sometimes wonder if Wingo can catch a normal pass with time.  McCutcheon is going to be a baller, and Michael Terry could be another playmaker.  If it's learning the playbook, then that's a problem.  But Texas should be loaded at WR.  I'm getting tired of not developing clutch receivers or offensive linemen--that's a bigger problem.

The Lockett that couldn’t get on the field this season?
