Anyone get the feeling Quinn was injured most of the second half of the year and the team just never disclosed it? The way he digressed just didn’t make sense to me. Like missing simple ass throws. He looked much crisper overall against Washington. Excited to see him healthy with more weapons on offense. As for Worthy, hope he uses this offseason to become an absolute animal. I hope his bowl performance pisses him off and he busts his ass this spring/summer. Maybe that was the reality check he needed to take his game/attitude to the next level.🤘🏼

No he the coaches and everyone confirmed that..   He could still easily over throw long balls.  It was in his head not physical that makes you miss screen passes ten yards away.

A rare moment of loyalty in the transfer portal; let's get to the NFL  as soon as possible world football is today.

I think the odds are good he tested his NFL draft stock and was told "go ahead and start thinking about where you'd like to try to sign"

Best position group with most competition in spring is going to be the Oline...

*Finally, there’s a good chance Christian Jones will return to the program. Word is his draft grade wasn’t what he’d hope and he believes he can improve it by utilizing his Covid year.

Most likely Texas will add at least one more WR, RB and safety from the portal.  (I really hope Texas adds 2 WRs, and also another Dline player from the portal by summer.)

Competition needs to really be fierce this spring for this team to improve for next season...

As much as I’d like to see some of the young, high-profile guys in the lineup, I just can’t see Hutson, Majors and Conner starting all this year and then being backups next year.  I would like to see more of a rotation at the guard positions at least to keep these guys engaged.

Agree on Majors since center is the most important position on the line and he's got too much experience to just throw away for a RS Fish. Hutson paired up okay next to Banks most of the time so he'll be tougher to supplant. Hutson, not so much. Starter or not, he's going to have a tough time keeping that spot from Campbell after nine months of college conditioning room and a full year with Flood.

I like this outside of moving Jones inside and not having Neyor on here.

Majors isn't losing his job, while he isn't the greatest they are not moving a two-year starter at center. Just don't see it.

Inside as in guard.

From L to R

Banks - Campbell - Majors - Jones - Williams

Thx for this goes to @MuellerHorn

Roster numbers info (Hudson Standish 247)

I hit up a few sources to gather team scoop, but the best nuggets were surrounding true freshman Cedric Baxter. Everybody around the program raves about the former No. 1 rated RB in the 2023 cycle and it's clear that the Orlando native is going to push for significant playing time to fill the void left by Bijan Robinson and Roschon Johnson alongside Hallettsville's Jonathon Brooks. I did confirm that Baxter will wear the No. 4 next season after working out a deal with Jordan Whittington who will move to No. 13 and push Jaden Alexis to No. 89.

A few more noteworthy new numbers, but not a full list include:  Anthony Hill No. 0, Johntay Cook No. 2, Malik Muhammad No. 5, Jalen Catalon No. 11, Derion Gullette No. 40, Colton Vasek No. 92

Yes.  He has the first prolonged stretch of staying healthy of his Longhorn career and we give him lucky number 13.  This bodes well.

In Japan 13 has no meaning and 4 is a very unlucky number. Maybe Japanese myths are stronger than ours

Arch Manning could likely make millions by monetizing his name, image and likeness.

Instead, the incoming freshman quarterback has decided not to sign any NIL deals until he starts playing on a regular basis at Texas, coach Steve Sarkisian said Wednesday.

"He’s taken zero money from an NIL perspective," Sarkisian said during an appearance at the Touchdown Club of Houston, according to The Athletic.

Committed April 17th

Don't overlook addition of Trill.  Have read/heard some positive comments about his workouts so far.

If our D-line stays healthy, it could really help improve the 2023 Texas defense.

A media days tradition is the updating of the Texas Football roster in preparation for the new season. Not only does that mean fresh heights and weights, but also new jersey numbers for summer enrollees and others who decided to don a new digit for the 2023 season.

Texas released its updated 2023 roster on Wednesday. Here are the new uniform numbers on the roster for the 2023 season.

2: Freshman defensive back Derek Williams Jr. takes over No. 2 on defense after Diamonte Tucker-Dorsey had during his lone season in Austin.

8: Casey Cain goes from 88 to 8, taking over the ocho from Xavier Worthy. Worthy switched to No. 1 ahead of the Alamo Bowl.

9: Isaiah Neyor gets the number Jahleel Billingsley had during his brief time in Austin.

15: Linebacker S’Maje Burrell gets a number in the teens.

16: Previously wearing No. 36, Michael Taaffe now shares a number 16 with Arch Manning.

18: Wideout Ryan Niblett was assigned No. 18, a number worn on defense by fellow 2023 classmate Liona Lefau.

24: Defensive back Warren Roberson takes over a number not worn on defense last season.

26: Running back Tre Wisner bumps walk-on Ky Woods from No. 26. Woods is now No. 29

27: Stanford grad transfer punter Ryan Sanborn gets a skill position number

31: EDGE Billy Walton will wear a number typically associated with defensive backs.

32: Brady Sarkisian, son of Steve Sarkisian and a walk-on linebacker, is on the roster.

44: Jelani McDonald, listed as a defensive back, gets a versatile digit worthy of a versatile athlete.

46: Tausili Akana is assigned a workmanlike number for an EDGE rusher.

68: Brooks Kieschnick Jr., son of the Longhorn baseball legend, joined the program as a walk-on offensive lineman.

74: Offensive lineman Trevor Goosby is donning a quality tackle number.

83: Tight end Spencer Shannon joins his position mates in the 80s…

87: As does Will Randle.

98: Trill Carter takes over No. 98 after Moro Ojomo wore the number from 2018 through 2022
