Texas should have a really quick hook with all the starters because Simpson is the best pitcher on the staff when her change up is working.

I think you just have to live with walks from Simpson because even when hitters get on base nobody is making good contact against her. Effectively wild.

Not a lot of teams have a staff with almost closer-like stuff. She’s a weapon for Texas with that change-up and her + the offense alleviates pressure on Morgan, Czech and Citlaly.

This aggy team we just beat twice took 1 from Tenn and lost a close one, 2-1. Team should be confident in going into an SEC park and taking 2/3 again. Almost did it at Bama and did it at Arky

  • Sunday's win marked the first time Texas has gone 3-0 in a NCAA Regional since the 2013 season.
    • In 2013, the Longhorns knocked off Army (5-0) and South Carolina (11-2, 6-0) to advance to the NCAA Austin Super Regional.
  • Texas will enter next weekend's NCAA Super Regional as the 13th seed, marking the lowest seed the Longhorns have been in advancing out of a NCAA Regional in program history.
    • Prior to this weekend, Texas traveled to Stillwater, Okla., as the No. 12 seed in 2021.
    • Last season, the Longhorns advanced to the NCAA Fayetteville Super Regional as an unseeded team.

I recall Arky and their fans last year, licking their chops over facing the unseeded Lady Horns there in Fayetteville….only to have their hearts broken…again.  It was a good time.

The SEC is going to advance quite a few teams but they're still going to lose quite a few. It's unreal they continue to get this type of respect.

It's just a numbers game when you get this many teams in the tournament.

SEC went 3-9 getting out of the regionals. That’s pretty embarrassing.

Wish this video started a little earlier. Were they trying to fake the IBB like that old school MLB highlight, or did the P just really fuck up? Shit's damn near down the middle.

She just fucked up.  She seemed incapable of throwing it into the opposite batter's box.  The previous hitter had bunted the tying and go ahead runs to 2nd and 3rd and there was just the 1 out.  The catcher stood up and held her hand out for the IBB.  The first pitch was on the inside corner at the knees for a called strike but the catcher had to lunge back inside for it and couldn't catch it and the tying run scored on the wild pitch.  They left the IBB on and the next pitch was right over the plate but low for ball 1 and then ball 2 was only slightly outside and then she got another called strike over the outside corner to make it 2-2.  All with the catcher standing up and signaling for the IBB on every pitch.  It was strange they left it on after 2 strikes.

It was 6-0 McNeese over Washington going into the 7th.  Now 6-3 with a runner on 2nd and 1 out.  The Cowgirl pitcher seems out of gas after throwing a great game.  They're leaving her in so they must not feel too great about any of their other pitchers.

Bri Ellis of Auburn just entered the portal as a soph. She is from the Houston area and is a 1B with huge power. I believe she has 30 HR in her two years at Auburn. This is a player that Mike should be salivating over. Plug her in defensively and let her bat go to work behind all that speed at the top of the order.

Her SEC hitting stats are bad. .224 or something. Barn usually loads up a bad non-conf schedule and inflates stats. Former aggy commit before she switched to Auburn

Auburns hitting coach is terrible and she has 36 HR in two years. Texas has zero power outside of Atwood
