Ohtani is amazing

Best player alive.

Got to see him pitch and hit in Anaheim against my stros last year (they won, he was dominant on both sides of the plate). Cousin went with me, says “sorry your guys lost…but we came to see the best baseball player alive put on a show, and we got it.”

There’s no way to hate the guy. He’s unreal. Japan won this all the way.

What a tourney. That was a blast. Bummer the US lost, but the only thing I really am sad about is not putting some dough on Japan +275 - most sportsbooks had them third best odds behind US and DR. I felt pretty confident they’d win. Oh well. Oh and that Altuve thing sucked too

It was a lot of fun going to a couple of games in Phoenix and watching the rest. Looking forward to ‘26 already.

And Trout is a loser?  Did I do it right?

Giving up 2 runs to the USA lineup is pretty fucking clutch.  Perhaps you disagree.

We outhit them 9 to 5 and left a ton of shit on the bases. Then they closed with one of the most insane players ever.

I was kidding about Trout. Maybe if you had read the thread fully you would have seen that.

So you’re saying that wasn’t a good pitching performance?  The fuck out of here.

You said "great pitching will always win out". Both teams pitched great. The US actually pitched a bit better - despite missing our top guys. They were also playing 1 game series in case you haven't noticed.

They played more than one game in the tournament.  Look at the full tourney stats and remember USA didn’t have to pitch against the best lineup in the tournament.
