What is your level of food disgust

As others have said, some of you have never been poor, or never lived outside a city, or traveled much.
The only thing I reacted on is a hair on the soup, and that’s only, as someone else pointed out, if it’s not at home.
Growing up on a farm, 30-45 minutes from the closest grocery store, we had natural fruits and veggies that we grew ourselves, and often would make food stretch because it was a PITA to go to town for more (plus we were broke).
Apple with a worm? No big deal if you’ve ever had an orchard.

Mold on cheese? That’s what makes it good. Mold on bread? Cut it off.
I also grew up in an era where we passed water bottles, beer bottles, whatever, from person to person. Want to taste a friend’s food? No problem.
And traveling a lot to a lot of different places has given me an appreciation for the strange, the exotic.
And dissing sushi? That’s just stupid.

I mean, my standards for eating in a different country are different than my standards for eating in my kitchen, and it is correct that part of why i'm tossing limp lettuce or moldy bread is because i'd rather eat fresh lettuce and fresh bread and am not poor/engaged in trench warfare/in a food desert/etc
