I have a loose theory that ivermectin only continues because it’s fairly easy to pronounce/spell. Acetaminophen and ibuprofen just have woke and gay spellings or are too long.

Benghazi was a bigger deal because it was not just easy to pronounce but had some flair to the name

I dont think dems want him removed at this point. He's so incompetent if they just keep him tied down enough to where he cant do anything but fuck everything up and make everyone hate him they can gain the most power. Well, if they also weren't compromised by corporate interests.

The power play for republicans would actually be to impeach him. He's become a millstone around their necks and they have to increasingly debase themselves to cover up for him. Getting him out and working on manipulating Vance, who has no popularity whatsoever with the voting public, would be their best bet at turning things around for themselves for 2026 and 2028. They would also put dems in a tough position of having to vote for impeachment even if it doesnt benefit them just because of the optics.

But republicans are completely incompetent and stupid as well so they'll screw it up. Also, could be corporate interests have instructed them to keep trump in for the time being.

The best thing that could happen for Rs would be for him to croak soon. Then they can campaign on how much they loved him without having to 25th or impeach him.

"As the most vocal critic of Donald Trump over the last decade and as the only person who still has a surviving lawsuit against him, the only thing I am surprised about is that it took him this long to come after me," Swalwell said in a statement to NBC News.

You’re not wrong. Except you have to remember he’s the “useful idiot” for Vought, Thiel, Miller and the rest of the ghouls that would set up a totalitarian state if given the chance. They’re on the path right now.

Y'all know he's literally the Anti-Christ, right?

I'm not kidding, not even a little bit.  As @Ghost of LL observed a while back, "Trump may be making me a believer in Christianity again.  Because if the Anti-Christ is real -- and he most definitely is -- then maybe the rest of stuff in there has some truth, too."

The most important part of that is that....the ship had already fucking sailed.  Soybeans are purchased annually.  China took care of its 2025 business.  All those 2025 soybeans in the US?  They aren't fucking going ANYWHERE.

Wat?  Pretty sure he has hundreds of lawsuits pending against him.

just have some press conferences and get a friendly journo to ask if any of his recent behavior warrants impeachment, and have reps/senators all say, "man, i hope not, we want to keep him right where he is".

a "please don't impeach him, we want him to stay" messaging campaign by dems would make him short circuit.

Nah, he's anti christ for sure, but there's no singular biblical entity in reality. You're thinking too American centric. Putin is just as evil and destructive, if not more so, than this guy.

No guys, everything is fine, don't believe the fake news.

I'm going to Brisket this one for everybody.

33 percent of adults is approximately 87.6 million Americans.

Think about the lunacy of that many people in this country who are still okay with TFG. That number of people in America look at things and say "Yeah doing a real bang up job holding it all together."

They see brown immigrants (who are all rapists and drug dealers) being deported to gulags, women being put back in their place, and the military moving into position to put some fresh war porn on Fox News.  They're ecstatic.

And the question is specifically on how he is managing the government, on the heels of the longest government shutdown in history, which he did nothing to address.  For forty days he either ignored it or typed shit, while the government literally doing nothing, and a third of adults still approve of his management of government.

I can’t imagine a scenario where Trumps approval rating dips below 35% while he is still in office.  The severity and volume of shit that has happened in the last year but especially the last month has had to have eroded any potential approval he was getting from movable people.  The 39% who currently approve of him are doing so in spite of a shitty economy, heavy evidence that the president is a pedophile who had sex with underage girls, severe domestic political unrest, and a fragile geopolitical environment.  We know they are approving of him because of his efforts to disparage and punish minorities and the poor and because of his polices that exacerbate environmental and societal problems, not in spite of them.

A severe economic depression or a war in which the US gets attacked by a foreign country and is losing are the only 2 things I can imagine serving to reduce Trump’s approval rating from where it is, and even then I can’t imagine it getting below 25%.

The Democrats had effective messaging/leasership anytime before 2024, he wouldn’t be president.  One thing I’m not sure of is if they had gotten effective messaging/leadership at any point this year, how low would Trump’s approval currently be?

He could leave this entire country as a pile of smoldering, radioactive rubble.....and his support wouldn't dip.  Because these idiots would see some other people crying in the ashes of their home, and immediately think "hurr durr, Trump really owned those libs!  WINNING!"

One of the Pod Save America guys said last week something like "It's just really depressing to know that Trump could announce tomorrow that he is bombing US cities he doesn't like, and his approval ratings wouldn't drop below 35%."

Back to the older talking points!

I don't know if this is true, but I heard yesterday that of the recently released emails from Epstein's estate, Trump is mentioned by name over 1000 times. Hell they reportedly had a team of FBI agents combing through everything and flagging every mention of Trump. A team of agents, working around the clock, in shifts, etc. Democrat hoax!

Seriously.  We live in a world where (1) there are LITERALLY reams of evidence showing Trump's association with Epstein (emails, photographs, videos, sworn testimony), and the GQP claims (2) it's a "hoax" that "Trump had anything to do with Epstein."  What an amazing time.

These fuckers would stand up during a live performance of Maneater and claim that "it's a hoax that Hall had anything to do with Oates."

It's not just the lies.  It's that the absurd and outlandish nature of the lies demonstrates how completely arrogant they are, and much contempt they hold the American people in.  When you lie to someone's face about something that is plainly true and right in front of both of you, you do so because you hold that person in zero regard.  The GQP actually holds we the people in contempt.

If we were a remotely sane country, we'd band together to build the largest set of gallows humanity has ever seen.

I guess the President, the Attorney General, and the FBI Director dragged Boobert into the Situation Room to discuss this hoax for hours.

They're not even trying anymore. I half expect Mike Johnson and crew to just start saying "insert lie here". Might as well. The vast majority of the time they wouldn't even be questioned on it.
