“So, as you can clearly see, Trump is controlled by Putin, and Putin has gotten Trump to create an entrée into America to sell Trump-branded Ladas…”

Well if they only go after convicted criminals, they can't hit their quota.  They have to get the criminals who haven't been caught yet, too.  They were all gonna sell drugs or rape somebody eventually like that one immigrant did.

Approximately 77 million Americans, or 1 in every 3 adults, have a criminal record. A criminal record—which can be an arrest record, criminal charges, or a conviction—creates barriers to jobs, occupational licensing, housing, and higher education opportunities.

Can you quote that post so that I can remind myself of the context?

The good news is that most car companies still want to sell their cars in California.  Unless the Trump administration is successful in preventing the state EPAs from having more restrictive requirements, they are still going to design to gas mileage standards.

Not only that, but nobody wants to go backwards and give their competitors an easy selling point. And with Trump and the Republicans continuing to fuck up the economy for the foreseeable future for a lot of people, people will be paying attention to such things.  I would even argue that those who wanted gas guzzlers already drive Suburbans and F-250s, etc.

Does it matter with California’s moves, the resignations, etc.? Plus I don’t think the midterms are gonna go very well in many of the close districts that are currently R.

I’m sure scotus will find a way to overturn California’s or just agree with the Rs when they scream voter fraud. We are in very deep shit.

i'm sure the turbo v6 vs. the v8 has a substantial impact on the expense of a truck, and isn't totally and completely outweighed by the fact that they went from this (probably an I6, actually):

to this:

meanwhile cutting the 0-60 time literally in half

I'm starting to think there is a non-zero chance that Trump will actually die on camera, possibly while audibly shitting himself, and I am all the way on board with it.

I can fap to that.

I just don’t know…

https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/trump-fighting-institute-peace-court-010117027.html

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration has renamed the U.S. Institute of Peace after President Donald Trump and has planted the president's name on the organization's headquarters despite an ongoing fight over the institute's control.

It’s the latest twist in a seesaw court battle over who controls the U.S. Institute of Peace, a nonprofit think tank that focuses on peace initiatives. It was an early target of the Department of Government Efficiency this year.

On Wednesday, the State Department said it renamed the organization to the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace to “reflect the greatest dealmaker in our nation’s history.” The new name could be seen on its building, which is near the State Department.

Hopefully the next president promptly renames it "The Fuck Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace" (ya know - to get our money's worth out of the signage ...) with instruction for it to revert to simply the Institute of Peace after 5 years.

Imagine any other president falling asleep in every meeting they attend. This should be a front page story every day.

I'm not too pissed about him sleeping.  He can't fuck shit up while he's asleep.  No, I'm more disappointed that he keeps waking up.

There's a fucking horde of Apostolic Christians in western Minnesota who share my last name that will certainly vote for this man if he is the R candidate. Simple farmers, common clay of the new west kind of people.

This is just daily late-stage mad king shit.

Either he doesn’t think he has very long to live for some reason (maybe he is ill), or more likely he knows that nobody is going to do this after he’s gone.
