This kid is so undervalued. The amount of punishment he takes and just keeps on going. At the end of the game he looked beat up. What a fucking warrior. loved the pitch out call

Yep. Incredible heart. And I really can’t compare him to other previous Texas RB’s. Several have been mentioned, but he’s just different. He’s not a jitterbug like Fozzy. He’s not bigger with straight line push like Og. He’s not Malcom Brown. He’s not any of our top tier guys (Charles, etc).I don’t remember Samuels very much.  Maybe Victor Ike? Nah.

But at the end of the day, he’s shifty, he runs hard, he finds holes, he avoids direct contact, but when it’s unavoidable he punishes. I love the guy.

Thought about him. Wasn’t he a little bigger and more of a power back? So long ago I can’t remember.

edit: how about Hodges Mitchell?

There’s a great case to be made that in a year where the run offense was way down, he’s offensive MVP.  Trey made yards out of nothing and the dropoff from him to the rest of the RBs was huge.

CJ Baxter had 30 carries for 86 yards in SEC play

Damn.

Seems like a good guy.  Hope he can get it together with another off-season.

But seeing number 4 on the field on offense was disheartening this year.

He could best contribute by marrying Mia Scott and leave a legacy by having mess of little Longhorn future athletes.

Good vision, good cuts, and broke a ton of tackles tonight. Surprised Sark kept giving Baxter chances

He’s not an every down back, it’s so hard to believe Baxter is our 2nd best choice to split time with him.  Twice Tre took himself out and Baxter came in to spell him.  Once he looked like he wanted to catch a breather, the other looked like he was flexing his arm or shoulder.
