Why?  Like construction crews, baristas, artists, fast food cooks, dairy milkers everyone?

Because the suit is more aesthetically pleasing.

But no not literally everyone.

Inflation, by it's nature, is a rate.  There is no inflation for "today".  There always has to be a delta t.

I made this point in high school calculus and the teacher just looked at me.

I will also say this: The US airlines have no fucking respect for passengers given how cramped things are.

We fly on China Airlines (actually a Taiwanese carrier) and EVA Air.

Flight are just as cramped, but the flight crew in the bourgeois cabins were professional and probably 7s at a minimum.

Until the inevitable drop off...

This sidebar conflicts me because I think everyone should always be wearing suits but I'm not gonna agree with the peanut gallery

One of the funny aspects of the big tech world is how baseball caps, ironic shirts, and beards became the new costume for wealth.  If you show up to Google in a suit, people are going to ask what you're selling.  My firm actually got negative feedback because one of our project managers wore a tie.  It's just another stupid, arbitrary dress code.

One of my neighbors is a finance bro.  I had to stifle an audible chuckle when I saw him a couple weeks ago wearing the white button down with the puffy vest.

He’s tossing out Biden fuel economy standards for passenger cars, because that’s the most pressing matter of this week.

This is the most maga thing ever. Durr, we don’t want fuel efficient cars!  We want to pay more and fill up more often!

It’s like dropping your Costco membership when they sue for a tariff rebate

‘Rich’ is doing a lot of work there.

Ive been shooing at Dollar [insert name here] for a while now.

In fairness, birthday cards, wrapping paper, gift bags are like $1-2 which is reasonable vs $5-$7 at HEB or Walmart. Thats some real coin considering all the f’n birthday parties my kids go to.

Fucking highway robbery, man.

I don't care for Dollar Tree/General/whatever either, but damn, I wouldn't stand around trying to shoo people away from it.

Turns out when you fuck around with tariffs sawmills start going out of business --- one per week.  Who knew?

The article says the big decline in their sales began during tfg’s first administration when China stopped buying American lumber due to tariffs. How much you wanna bet that ALL of the people quoted in that article voted for him in ‘24?

Read the comments blaming Biden, despite what the article actually says.

Fucking morons.

dollar stores are a scam:

Quote

Inside the store, which sits along a three-lane road in a county of peanut growers and poultry workers, Coffield scanned 300 items and recorded their shelf prices. He carried the scanned bar codes to the cashier and watched as item after item rang up at a higher price.

Red Baron frozen pizzas, listed on the shelf at $5, rang up at $7.65. Bounty paper towels, shelf price $10.99, rang up at $15.50. Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes, Stouffer’s frozen meatloaf, Sprite and Pepsi, ibuprofen, Klondike Minis – shoppers were overpaying for all of them. Pedigree puppy food, listed at $12.25, rang up at $14.75.

Yeah, he is well aware of the industry and voting preferences and education limits of those around him.  But he is older and has resigned acceptance of people voting stupidly.

I sat next to Carrot Top once. He was dressed like a hobo and smelled like shit. Pretty sure he's richer than me.

He came up to the flight deck in Orlando once after we landed. Couldn't have been nicer. His brother is a SWA pilot and former AF.

Not me. My cars are cheap.

But I can't afford to go to UT Football games anymore. Or barely non-Tuesday UT Baseball games. Or non winter break UT Basketball games.

100K obviously isn't crap anymore. Tons of you fuckers are making me look poor as fuck.
