This is flat out wrong. He's had some terrible moments, but he is at worst the 2nd best receiver on the team. Moore and Livingstone are fine players, but not difference makers. There's not another receiver on the team that could do what Wingo did in back to back weeks against MSU and Vandy.

I agree that he's a special athlete, but I'd take Livingstone and Mosely over him anyway.

I mean he plays like kid who's never had to work to be the best. "Matures" is probably the better word.

I only went to the OSU game but I kept my eye on him because I think he's an interesting case. He didn't run good routes, didn't go after the ball, didn't know how to sit down in the zone or look for the QB when things went south, looked totally unpolished -- that's after a year of starting -- and he didn't seem to improve any of those things as the year went on. His stats improved because Sark got him the ball even though he dropped half of them because he's a big, fast freak.

I hope he realizes what he's got to learn and earn by becoming a student of the game and working for it, but as I said, after zero improvement from freshman to sophomore, I'm not holding my breath. Though I'm rooting for him.

Very correct assessment

I agree with much of this. He’s an athletic Tarzan who plays like Jane way too often. He should be bullying DBs at times, but we rarely even see him make contested catches. It’s hard, but that’s what big time WRs do.

This is correct. Wingo is a playmaker, he needs more consistency, but a lot of WRs do.

I'm not too interested in running off a sophomore receiver who caught 50 balls for 770 yards unless he is asking for Cam Coleman money or something ridiculous.

Our OC didn't even properly utilize him until October.

This feels like some of the same commentary you heard about Worthy after his sophomore year (gadget guy, athlete trying to play receiver, inconsistent hands) and I'm glad we didn't run him off.

Worthy's sophomore year, 62-774-9 vs. 57-812-7 for Wingo.

Everyone was ready to send Worthy packing because he asked for NIL upgrades each offseason.

At RB Wisner and Simon should come back back and you clear out the rest of the room. Deandre Moore and Wingo played hardball for NiL last offseason and did not exactly live up to their cost. I’m sure the staff did not forget.

Wisner seems to be looking elsewhere for a bigger opportunity. Moore I would expect the same

Moore should move up to the mountains and stop bothering people or something.

It feels like there are a handful of OLs who are being told of the opportunity to go be fat somewhere else.

There’s only room for one tub of goo ginger getting his tits blasted everywhere at DKR

Moore almost certainly is the "would be parting without any bad blood from either side" WR. Has to be right? He is going to be at best the third or fourth option in our passing game next year and that is assuming Bishop (or Eason is he reclassifies) don't also leap up into the top of that WR rotation in year one. Then you have the clear need to add a WR with more speed and playmaking ability to the mix in the portal. Not someone we would push out the door but also not someone we should be putting any money towards keeping.

I will be a bit shocked if Lockett and Ffrench both return but it sounds like both might.

only thing with freshmen WRs is whether they can block

Funny how DeAndre Moore said he looked up to and molded himself after Jordan Whittington, and basically everything he has done the last two years is the opposite of what Whittington would do.

Daylan McCutcheon can probably offer somewhere in the same ballpark of what Moore did at 1/3rd the cost and that's before you factor in any portal additions. I really can't think of many moments the last few years where Moore did something that the average college receiver couldn't do. Most of his production comes on stuff that is schemed up.

Wisner is our only RB with a pulse. He has 80 more carries than our next RB, who's gonna give him more opportunity than that?

I guess he knows we're going to be looking for a better back in the portal?

I’ve tried to pay extra attention to him this year because he’s expensive relative to production and he has problems getting open.

It’s actually a little shocking seeing how frequently Livingstone is open and Moore is covered up, enough to make one wonder if it’s by design.

A monster stud RB is top of our wishlist in the portal alongside IOL

Wisner himself should know and understand that how he has been used the last few years is not optimal or sustainable. If he wants to go try to get 20 carries a game somewhere else, let him because he ain't getting that here in 2026.
