Because I think it's more likely that this CFP will have its highest ratings ever than its lowest.

The reality will probably be somewhere in the middle.

yeah, people are going to be tuning in in droves for these bangers

This is fraud. What else needs to be said? This is not a playoff, it's a bullshit invitational ran by a committee fueled by Ensure. There is no way this format remains the same next year. No fucking way.

It needs to die. It’s more mythical than the previous system. It’s a joke.

There are teams clearly better than James Madison and Tulane yet they are in. Alabama has 3 losses yet they are in

Bama got pantsed in the lunch room and stuck upside down in a locker room by a playoff team for their 3rd loss haha. It would be different if they had put up a fight. Game 13, they should be firing all on all cylinders ready to compete…nah…-3 yards rushing and a qb who looks like he has the yips now. It’s like the scene from dumb and dumber. We don’t normally pick up hitchhikers but I got a good feeling about you. Lulz

Texas and Ohio St agreed to these games in 2012...14 years ago. there wasnt even a CFP at the time.

Gives a good reason to reevaluate the agreement because post season circumstances have changed

we were always playing tOSU and Mich on the return game.  Its the ND series that needs to be looked at. My guess is based on CDC comments we will keep it.

Oregon will coast the first two rounds. We shall see if Miami is any good.

You think Oregon will coast over Tech?  The only team they played that has a defense better than Tech's is IU.

I just think the bottom line is if you lost more than one game and you get a playoff berth it is a gift.
I am not going to lose any sleep our 3 loss team didn't make it. Even if some less deserving teams made it in. We had a shot to get it done and we didn't.
And yes I understand the perverse scheduling incentives that creates. If it is solely about your losses and not your wins then why take any risks? But college football has always been that way.

Yep, our blatant disregard and under preparation for Florida after a fucking bye week came back to hunt us. Sark better learn from this.

I'm glad that ND finally didn't have the lucky breaks go their way.

If you go to their forums, they honestly think the deck is always stacked against them.

They have no self awareness.

I don't think 22 is enough. Guessing that gets up close to 4 TDs.

I personally think that the 4 team playoff (or even the BCS) was fine. Realistically speaking, there are only 2-4 teams every year that are actually good enough to win a natty.

Kind of suprising they wouldn’t put the more competitive Aggy game later but good that no night crowd

It’s because the later two games are on TNT and going up against NFL games.

This same person will argue until he's blue in the face that Alabama is a legit playoff team this year

Miami favored at A&M is interesting.  No love for the Aggies from me, but I thing I’d go “wrong team favored” there, but who am I compared to Vegas?

Despite that being far from the case last season?

I never really expected Texas to make it due to how we stood in the polls this year, after both wins and losses. Once we didn't match the hype, we were dismissed.
Screwing aggy over is a small consolation.
Hopefully ousucks gets demolished.
Sark better get his shit together this for next year.

Bama vs OU will be a 2011esque SEC showdown with a final score of 9-6.

Ah. Good point. Guess that also makes sense why those games are relegated to TNT and HBO Max

Tech didn't play anyone out of conference. I think they will get exposed but we shall see.

For the most part, Vegas knows ball.

Reality is gonna be rough for Tech fans this year.

What the hell do you know about reality?

You just live in an angry cocoon thinking the whole world is against UT and UT deserves to be in the playoffs no matter their record.

You are reading that backward. Formatting in that tweet is kinda weird.

Where are you getting that Miami is favored from that tweet?

If your D can contain their speed then yall definitely have a shot. Yalls physical front 7 is as legit as any team. Not sure how tested your secondary is.

I’m not betting but I don’t see how Bama is favored at OU after the last two results between those teams and coaches.

The only thing I can think of is they think Bama's defense can handle Mateer easily. I think OU wins that because Bama's offense can't do anything against the Sooner defense.

Field needs to be increased to 16 next year.  Then either start the season a week earlier or start the playoff games the weekend after the field gets announced. Playoffs should be starting next weekend anyway. The only reason they don’t is because of Army/Navy, maybe the most overrated, overhyped sporting event in the history of sporting events. They can kick that shit off at 8am and have the playoff games kick off at 11am. Problem solved.
