Aggie misery.jpg

I thought aggy didn’t lie, cheat, steal etc etc, does that go for lying on the internet too? Someone probably didn’t return his ‘howdy’ therefore his entire fan base felt attacked. If it makes you feel better aggy go ahead and put it online.

I will say, that watching this game at home, I yelled more and louder, for each and every play, than I have ever done before. Aggies being ranked #3 had something to do with that.

Here's a CBS Sports recap...

The fuck is wrong with the sportscaster stumbling over the teleprompter? Sounds like a robot, but lol suck it aggy.

Kind of crazy that Notre Dame gave up 41 points at home to that team.

Their DC is Chris Ash.  At the beginning of the season he was playing a lot of zone and soft man.  Fans wanted him fired.  They seem to have turned it around.

It’s just loser talk. From a fanbase of seasoned losers. Maybe next year.

To be fair. Arch had two early drops.  And two deep uncalled pi's...

I think Arch is still perhaps a bit "psychologically delicate."  In that he needs some success to build on, and conversely, when we have early fuckups, it makes him press.

I'm not criticizing him, unduly.  It's a testament to his mental fortitude that he survived the preseason hype and the early struggles. But I think he still has a tendency to fall back into a "prove yourself" mode/eminem,  Or get into it.

One thing I will say about this OL.  You could find them helping up their fellows that they often just got blown up.  That hasn't always been a thing.

The Aggies were extremely overrated and had no business being the #3 team in the country. They need a missed extra point and a blatant hold/tackle on their game-winning play to beat a decent ND team. They played literally no SEC team with a winning record until the last game of the season and got exposed. I felt good about this game going into it.

felt like Arch was tight to start the game, Luke he was at the start of the season but sacked up and played like a motherfucking boss in the second half.

we played 5 top 10 teams and beat 3 of them. I don’t know if anyone else has that on their resume. The Florida loss is ugly but but are wins are more impressive than most of the playoff field. If the CFP wants college football to remain entertaining then they absolutely should not punish us for the OSU loss and treat us as a 2 loss team. Otherwise we should just eliminate all our future OOC games against P5 opponents and just play Sanford or Austin Peay.

I hope the committee gets it right because in '26 and '27, we have Ohio State and Michigan at home.  Then we round out the decade with home/away vs. Notre Dame.

I want those games to happen.  Meeting them in the playoffs at a neutral site isn't the same.

I knew they were overrated and the original line of -10.5 was right.  My aggy acquaintances were very confident but some knew better.  My total of money owed to me now is around $1,200.  lol.

It’s 5:45 am heading to the golf course where I’m playing with (against) an aggy grad who’s ran his mouth every weekend on the golf course.   Any bets he “cancels” and doesn’t show today?

As I walked into the clubhouse of the Navy course this morning. This is how I felt

Tim Tebow just made the case for UT being one of the 12 best teams and if we don't get in in will hurt the NCAAs push for big OOC games, which, he says, has been good for college football this year.

He may be dumb, but he’s 100% right.

Take it from an old fart. That chant gets under their skin more than anything else. The youths need to resurrect it to its former glory.

More takeaways:

I thought the network did an amazing job of capturing the excitement and noise of the crowd. Talk about a sea of orange. That crowd turned a big game into national spectacle. The angles, the cuts, made you feel like you were there. Kudos. It was awesome seeing Arch's dad immediately after his kid's TD run. What a big moment for both. Great fucking run. Did anyone else notice during that run Arch's legs going side to side like a fucking hill country buck sprinting through a clearing?

This team has crystalized the OOC game issue. Do you or do you not want teams going back to scheduling meaningless junior colleges for their OOC? Reward our guts in going there and recognize their effort and their growth. Is the NCAA gonna walk the walk?

What an entree into Rivalry Weekend!

Thanks Horns for a great season... so far.

and if they screw us because of “3 losdes” Texas should NOT play them unless we go to 16 team playoffs. No margin for error.

Involving the crowd in the camera shots is something the CBS does a phenomenal job on or did.

Yep. But I got under their skin plenty. One 20-something aggy’s comeback to me was “You graduated 30 years ago!”

Okay, pudwacker. Good one?

Didn’t see any of this in our section (8), not a lot of shit talking between folks.   It was however the most electric crowd I have ever experienced in all my years being a season ticket holder. When we sang eyes at end of game not a lot of folks had left.

I woke up late, thank god for near adult children and no young ones anymore, I rolled over and smiled bigly. It’s good to be 3-0 over your rivals, it’s especially good to wake up the morning after manhandling those goobers.

I find it exceedingly gruntling that our diverse, top __% student body can still generate crowd noise the same way a bunch of top quarter/1100 SAT white guys could for 1990 U of H.

That tells me that the kids are still having the kind of experience most of us did.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I have a young analyst (finance degree for A&M) working for me, we have a 9:30am Monday morning meeting to go over a deal. I’m looking forward to it.

Better double check his work.

Q:  How many Aggie freshman does it take to change a lightbulb?

A:  It's a sophomore level course at A&M.

One of the biggest plays of the night was the time out called just before the fourth down play. When previously we didn’t call one and someone on here pointed out we should have called one but didn’t. Clearly Sark does read surly or he has his staff scouring the thread for clues and answers.

how huge was that ethan burke tackle on that concepcion punt return? if burke doesn’t make that tackle we might lose this game. one thing throughout the night that had me geeked was that our effort was off the charts, especially in tackling. that’s one of those plays like the cedrick griffin hit stick pbu vs tosu that people will forget about, but that had massive implications on the game as well as our season. if we make the playoff, that tackle played a role in it.

The offense is 100% on him. Arch doesn't get a lot of help from his play calling HC on the sidelines or the field. Winning was on him, losing was going to be 100% his fault. He is in his 1st year as the QB. This was a top 5 match up against a rival. Things didn't go well to start, our HC was calling the long developing routes (hell the talking heads spoke about it during the 1st half) and Arch pressed early because he knew this was his game to win or lose. Sark changed the approach to the plan that has worked all season away from the one that hasn't and Arch went out and curb stomped aggie.

That's very fucking human for a 21 year old and it's absolutely amazing.

That's the first time I've ever bothered to listen and hear chin pubes talk.

For a guy who has spent his entire life, presumably, following college football, and yet to know so little about college football including how "statistically" aggy had a better defense (spoiler they don't) illustrates just how dumb aggys are.

He and Elko as the off field and on field "leaders" of aggy is just so on brand.

CLOSE THE DOOR. MY GOSH!

That's why this off season we need to fucking fix the run game.  The run game saved the game.
