The defense played great considering they didn’t have Ant Hill. I don’t think some people realize how really good he is. He’s one of the best LB’s to step onto the 40 acres, and was a critical piece of their strong defensive showing this year.

Apparently Kade Philips started at CB but went out in the first quarter as well.

1. Glad y'all won.  Mostly for aggy tears, but still glad.
2. Impressed with your crowd and the LOUD at DKR.  That hasn't always happen, nor are most games inspired with that kind of hate; but still appreciated the greatness of it and crowd response in a huge game.
3. I think the Texas wins matter as much or more than the losses.  I hate the beauty pageant aspect of it all, and always have.  I had hoped the PO expansion would alleviate these situations, alas...there it is with the bullshit arguments about wrinkly elbows and dented knees.
4. It's all done but the bribing now.  Get on with it.  Good luck!!!

Reminds me of a gung ho Aggie friend who got one of those collies. That fucker never stopped barking (the dog). Indoors or outdoors. Never fucking stopped barking. Loud piercing bark. They spent the whole visit yelling at it to STFU. Finally gave it away.

That's the first time I've ever bothered to listen and hear chin pubes talk.

For a guy who has spent his entire life, presumably, following college football, and yet to know so little about college football including how "statistically" aggy had a better defense (spoiler they don't) illustrates just how dumb aggys are.

He and Elko as the off field and on field "leaders" of aggy is just so on brand.

CLOSE THE DOOR. MY GOSH!

I listened as well, and the "statistically" line made my eyes roll. I know he's a Homer, but I don't get paid to talk about football for a living and I knew it was completely bullshit. Either he knowingly lied and knew his fans wouldn't check him or even worse, didn't know he was lying and knew it didn't matter. He's an absolute clown.

Tim Tebow just made the case for UT being one of the 12 best teams and if we don't get in in will hurt the NCAAs push for big OOC games, which, he says, has been good for college football this year.

Never seen people bitch and moan so much over a fucking dog. Who gives a fuck. Also, they bitched about the turf and the placement of the band the entire evening. The entire culture of that school is measured in how much of a pussy can they make themselves out to be.

how huge was that ethan burke tackle on that concepcion punt return? if burke doesn’t make that tackle we might lose this game. one thing throughout the night that had me geeked was that our effort was off the charts, especially in tackling. that’s one of those plays like the cedrick griffin hit stick pbu vs tosu that people will forget about, but that had massive implications on the game as well as our season. if we make the playoff, that tackle played a role in it.

This is a huge pet peeve of mine.  Lil’ Nigel plays and they have several players with untucked undershirts (because it looks cool).  EVERY single game this year I saw a player brought down at some point in the game by their undershirt.

There is practice film of Saban making a big deal of all jerseys needing to be tucked in.  He got it.

He along with Tre understand the assignment in these rivalry games, they are always ready to come out and play. Tre is like playoffs Derek Fisher buzzer beater 3 pointer against the Spurs to the Sooners, and I bet Reed is glad to see Burke leave after this season.

Well, at least he isn't frequently brought down by paint on the field or a shoe string on the first play of the game.

This last weekend of regular season college football has always been so special. The rivalry games large and small in national significance but all titanic locally are what made me fall in love with CFB as a kid. Watching border wars in the Rust Belt, cross-city rivals in L.A., and in-state battles around the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast after Thanksgiving is annually one of my favorite traditions of the year. I feel sad that the Apple Cup, Civil War, and Bedlam have been taken off this weekend or ended entirely. The stakes of bragging rights over your neighbors and co-workers for a year are so unique to this sport alone that I hope we never lose them. So glad that we have our own in-state rival back on the schedule so that we can participate in it. No offense to Tech, TCU, or Baylor, but ending the season against them just wasn’t the same.

Rivalry week was even better before the NCAA instigated the taunting penalty.  I've said it before, I'll say it again; the taunting penalty should be waived for big-time rivalry games.  Fights should still be penalized, but good old fashioned trash talking and taunting should be good to go during rivalry week.

Rivalry games need more shit like this:

I hate them and OU so much, but I begrudgingly have to give the Sooners some credit for winning important shit over their history.  Aggy got nothing yet they talk more shit than anyone.

Best thing to happen with aggy going to the SEC is now the rest of the country realizes just how fucking weird they are.

Texas leads the all-time head-to-head overall series by hundreds of wins.

A&M has never come close to leading the all-sports rivalry.

🧡🔥 SUMMARY: TEXAS vs A&M — THE REALITY

🟧 Texas dominates in:

• Football (massively)

• Baseball (historic)

• Volleyball (dynasty)

• Swimming & Diving (all-time great)

• Men’s & Women’s Basketball

• Track & Field (slight but consistent edge)

• Overall national championships

• All-time head-to-head in nearly every sport

• All-time wins across major sports

• Academic prestige

• Olympic athletes produced

• NFL & NBA draft success

🟫 A&M only has edges in:

• Women’s soccer historically

• Yell practice and midnight saunas or whatever they do

🧨 THE “LITTLE BROTHER” NARRATIVE?

It dies instantly when you look at the data.

Texas leads in:

More wins.

More championships.

More money.

More history.

More prestige.

More everything.

If anything, the term is wrong.

Texas A&M isn’t the little brother… they’re the stepchild trying to get invited to dinner.

I find it exceedingly gruntling that our diverse, top __% student body can still generate crowd noise the same way a bunch of top quarter/1100 SAT white guys could for 1990 U of H.

That tells me that the kids are still having the kind of experience most of us did.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

As someone who was at that game - amen!

I still remember smelling rum and/or Jack Daniel’s after a big score, and turning around to see a cloud of white plastic cups in air headed to the field. Glorious.

Texas went 5-1 against ranked teams from Monday to Friday. And 3-1 against top 3 teams

Yep, Ole Miss coach got fired - enter Kiffin.  The penalty forced the potential game-tying PAT 15 yards further back which was missed allowing Miss State to win and become bowl eligible.  During bowl game preparations there was a huge fight at a Miss State practice which led to firing their coach and bring in the Pirate.

It's funny that they say "somehow find a way to lose" like it was some weird fluke of fate and not that they just got absolutely dominated in the second half.
