It looks like Ukraine is planning some cross river raids over the winter where the Dnipro doesn't freeze.  Harass Russian troops and gather information.

Hopefully some huddled Russian groups can become prime artillery target practice.

Looks like some of those US Navy riverine assault boats that we sent over.

How about this.  In a month or so, those Russians are gonna be real cold and hungry.  So we get some Domino's pizza boxes and the UKA Marines boat across the river and pose as delivery guys.  Hungry Russians come out of their hiding spots for delicious Domino's deep dish and BAM!  Drone strike, motherfuckers!

Could work.  We should check it out.

ETA

I thought that was gonna be post #1 on page #1000.  Furk

I think you're close.  Replace the Domino's with a prominently placed American Standard toilet or a gently used Maytag and they'll swim right over... fish in a barrel.

Maybe these anti-war Russians should stay in Russia and work against the war.

Thousands of Russians are crossing the U.S. southern border to claim asylum. Many are ending up in immigration prison. “I left Russia for a place just like Russia,” said one.

Deport them, let them get mobilized and Ukrainian winter can take care of them.

Yep. Sorry, but allowing refugees to claim asylum from a country we are actively in a proxy war against is too dangerous. If Russia has any competency left, they are likely trying to send foreign agents as refugees into our and our allies' countries.

If they announce a massive mobilization in a few months, wonder if he’ll still let Russians leave the country.  It was smart to let several hundred thousand go, releasing some pressure as they probably would have caused problems.

But the resentment of those who can’t leave and then get called up will grow, and I Imagine they will have to hit Moscow and St. Petersburg hard.

It’s from a podcast with a couple of analysts looking at big picture stuff, and talking about what seems to be a slowdown in Russian aerial attacks.  Speculation that Iran scaled back or stopped supplies.  Ukrainians know when the bombers take off, which gives them some lead time for planning defense,
