It is never as easy as these people think, but that is the justification.

I'm shocked Donkey Cigars is back apologizing for anything and everything, which is particularly weird, because he used to be quite vocal about no foreign wars.

Who is apologizing for anything? This thread seems stumped on why this is happening. This seems like a plausible explanation whether you or I like it or not.

Well, it's a simple question. Are they involved there or not?

IDK, but this is all an extremely effective means to get everyone to stop thinking about President Donald J Trump molesting children with Jeffery Epstein

It's a baseless internet theory by someone guys patting each other on the back for doing their own research, while staring side eye at the chem trails in the air. But here you are, posting shit by...checks notes...Live Monitor on twitter, a totally thoughtful and unbiased source of information that posts stuff like this:

"I don't know about that. There's growing speculation that the women were actually 15 or 16, which many are saying means he's not a pedophile, but just a man who appreciates the female body. Here's a tweet by ALphAMAgA that seems to support that theory."

How big of a fucking loser do you have to be to keep getting banned and coming back to a message board where no one wants you?  It’s fucking perverse how dogged this cockroach is !

I have been to Caracas but not in thirty years.  The food was awesome, the old American cars everywhere were cool, and the traffic was insane.  Beautiful women too!

Yup, the fishing off La Guaira bank was incredible.   And it's a beautiful county at night as long as there isn't a full-ish moon, during the day welp... shanties all the way up the mountains

The Defense Secretary later added he did not see any survivors.

"I did not personally see survivors ... because that thing was on fire," he said. "It was exploded and fire and smoke, you can't see anything ... This is called the fog of war."

I think Trump would love to go to war with Venezuela because they would be easy (capitulate in 5 seconds) and the oil reserves are massive.

Maduro is unliked by everyone and considered a fool at best and a criminal at worst (I know, I know-- like we can talk), but he's had more time in the chair than Trump to completely strip mine Venezuela from a once proud, economically strong and prideful place to one that is hollowed out, broke, and empty from a brain drain that has been going on for a decade. It's no longer professionals leaving in droves and pissing off Chile and Peru but it's the common clay people who can't escape fast enough.

And the things in Trump's favor?

@'stachementioned a big one in that it's not kitchen table news because of a mix of reasons; aforementioned unlikeability of Maduro, foreign stuff is always a bit detached for the average Joe Sixpack when it's not a hot war like this one won't be or won't be for long, and it gives the whitewashing of "good versus bad" with all the brown drug people poisoning our white American streets.

Then you've got Trump who is the most Russo & OPEC cartel friendly President ever. Typically Venezuela could count on the bad guys to sabre rattle and create some distance, but KSA/MBS & Trump are thick as thieves and Putin hates Trump behind his back but sees the value in their being frenemies.

Kelly might have seen it in a briefing he would have received as the timing matches up.  He couldn’t come out and talk about any specifics because it would’ve been classified, but he could’ve put out a generic video saying don’t follow any illegal orders.

I think that’s why Trump and Hegseth flipped out so much over Kelly.

I know there’s a story floating around earlier today that the Washington Post got it wrong, but they’ve had ample opportunity to spend a few minutes over the weekend or yesterday to look at the video, and if there had been no survivors, Trump and Hegseth would be out there saying that. Hegseth would’ve made sure to tell Trump.

And Hegseth is pretty insecure, and he knows that decorated Navy admirals are not gonna go down for some two-bit Army major who had a spotty and short career and never held a major command.

Hegseth and Trump are definitely acting like there’s a video out there and it’s out of their control.

In fact, my gut says that those veterans in Congress would not have made that video unless they knew there were illegal orders being given.  The timing of their video and the subsequent flip out by Trump and Hegseth speaks volumes.

And I may have missed it, but I don’t recall Trump and Hegseth going out there saying the video is meaningless because they’re not giving illegal orders. Instead, they attacked the video and claimed they were telling service members not to obey legal orders.  That means they probably thought they were lawful and now they realize they’re not or they believed that nobody outside of the Department of Defense knew what was going on.  Or they were trying to project that they were only giving lawful orders.

1- Attacking Maduro would make him a hero in Latin America.

2- It would not be easy to take the country. Maracaibo? Yes. Geography allows it to be contained, but.

3- Plan on a protracted Guerilla War. Latin America knows a bit about that.

4- There already are a shit ton of "common clay" people who have left.

This would not be easy.

1. If you attack and he stays in power, 100%. But if you can topple him, it can be done quickly.

2. The thoughts are that however unlikely you can pressure him to self-exiling, but the more optimal likely case is that one of Maduro's own officers will topple him a la General Rodriguez who toppled Paraguay dictator and ushered back in democracy (so there is a precedent there). https://www.nytimes.com/1997/04/22/world/andres-rodriguez-dies-at-72-overthrew-paraguay-dictator.html

3. US won't engage in a hot war. It will either be a surgical operation a la Bush Sr. ousting Noriega in Panama or nothing.

4. Right. Hence the neighbors being upset at Ven/Maduro because of poor/refugees/immigration a la Palestine and her neighbors.

China and its little brother Russia have been shown to be absent when their "allies" are put to the test. First, Iran. Now looks like Venezuela. They are not ready for the big time. That being demonstrated so clearly is a good thing.

He knows that if the US gets their hands on him, he’ll end up like Noriega. He’s not leaving willingly.  And one huge difference between this and Panama is we actually had military bases in Panama.  We don’t have that here.  We would have to put a lot of troops in to the country from ships and that’s not easy with the way their geography is.

Yeah, and only a disingenuous troll or a complete fucking single digit IQ dipshit would post someone's surly post as supporting evidence for "LOOK AT THIS STORY ON THIS NEWS OUTLET" and yet, there you were posting garbage twitter links...yeah, I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

The crime was that it was a double tap strike, correct?

The crime is that if you blow up a ship or shoot down an aircraft, and there are survivors in the water, they are no longer considered combatants, and therefore you cannot kill them legally. I don’t know if it was Hegseth or Bradley, but somebody tried to claim they were legitimate targets because they could call their buddies to come pick up the drugs.  That is insane.  People clinging to pieces of a blown up boat are not thinking “oh, I’m gonna call my buddies to come get the drugs and continue on their way to America. “

We prosecuted Germans and Japanese after World War II, who had killed Americans and other allies in similar situations. We even hung U-Boat commanders who machine gunned people in the water.

And that’s before we get into the question of whether we are actually at war with Venezuela or not. Hint: we are not at war. We also cannot designate them as terrorist based on 911 because I’m fairly certain Venezuela was not involved with 911.

You make him a martyr. Latin America loves that shit. Che t-shirt out front and all that.

Don't see it. Any movement would have to come from the lower officer ranks. That is how Coups usually go.

Surgical strikes don't do shit. And Panama was not a surgical strike.

So is Colombia next? Peru? Bolivia? Ya know, the real drug producing nations.

Pretty bad but Cigars is clearly working an angle — he’s possibly a Russia-financed troll. Then we have somebody like Rex Kramer, who  has asked imma multiple times to nuke his account entirely, says he’s leaving forever only to come back with a new handle a few weeks later. That’s the shit I don’t understand.
