I went to the location at ABIA for the first time Wednesday night.  Picked up a meal for my kiddo who was flying back for the summer from college.  Four cars ahead of me in the drive-thru.  Twenty-two fucking minutes later, I had the meal.  Kicked myself for not just walking in instead of using the drive-thru, but it was pretty stormy out.

It is a boss move if your location of choice is set up properly for it.  The one I frequent by campus renders that impossible.  The 3-4 spots are positioned so that if the drive-thru line gets to be about 3-4+ cars deep from the speaker...you're blocked in since the ROW isn't wide enough for two way travel.  It's a shitshow, but if you can go at off-peak times, it's definitely the smart play.

A brand new WB is fixing to open next to my Brushy Creek neighborhood on 620 just west of Round Rock.
A boon for me, but I’ll wait a couple of weeks for them to get their stuff together before we try it. Undoubtedly it’ll be crowded, so I’ll employ the suggested ordering method.

The current pro move is just to pull into a curbside spot and order on your phone. Done this a few times and the order comes out in 5 minutes, hot, fresh, and correct. Much better than waiting in the drive through for 30 minutes and getting the wrong order. At least at the Anderson Lane location, they seem to prioritize the curbside orders regardless of how many people are in the drive through line.

This is definitely the way. Adopted this method at Chic-Fil-A, and recently improved upon it. Pull into a spot, order on my phone, then walk inside. It’s always ready within a minute or two of going in. Saves a shit load of time. It’s always fun to keep an eye on where you would’ve been in the drive thru. Usually I’m pulling out of the parking lot and I still would’ve been several cars away from even placing my order. Works everywhere with an app and long lines as far as my research has shown

Backfired for me last night.  I ordered while on my way home during a thunderstorm.  Paid in app, got confirmation notice reminding me to check in when I arrived with my spot number. Pulled in to location to find that the power in a 5 block radius was out. No whataburger for me... Waiting on my refund... ¡pobrecito!

I went last night and it was the worst whataburger trip ever. First, they put the burgers in the wrong wrappers, so I bit into my wife's horrible burger. Then the fries were obviously stale and crunchy, almost like old cheetos. Then my lemon pie, which I had let sit a while, was nuclear hot. I took a bite and had to spit it out. The filling poured out like hot tea, nothing resembling pie filling at all. Just an all-around clusterfuck. I'm avoiding that location for a long time.

We got a new WB about a year ago, next closest is 3-4 miles away.  It’s fucking terrible in every facet; your story is the norm there.  If you knew how much I love my WB, you’d understand this shit has been soul crushing.  Even though it’s the worst location I’ve visited on a regular basis, it stays packed so I assume it’ll just stay shitty.
