Yeah Nico's awesome for just not gaf and asking the questions everyone else wants to hear asked. Being a WDC with lifetime Paddock access probably helps in that regard. He's not worried about losing access. He's very quick on his feet and is able to subtly twist the knife or get straight to the meat of the subect when everyone else is dancing around it. He also brings a lot of good insights as a former driver that some of the other ex-drivers don't seem to want to talk about imho. Also, love Ant, Paul (too bad he's gone), & Bernie for just bringing fantastic technical and/or driving insights. Jenson's too nice to say anything remotely controversial about any of the drivers, and Martin is good if you can get past his sometimes blatant biases. Jacques is actually pretty good too, like a crazy French Canadian asshole version of Nico.
Crofty is like that big, goofy yellow lab that runs all over the yard not knowing much but not really needing to know that much (as far I'm concerned). And maybe even that's being too harsh on him imho. He knows a fair amount, but imho probably tosses silly theories and speculation into the discussion just so they get discussed & often dismissed - not necessarily because he actually believes them. He's good at being the guy that holds everything together, imho (which is much more difficult than it looks), and for me, that's all he needs to be. He's there to tie all the experts together, not to be an expert. That Harry Benjamin (?) guy seems to be being groomed for that spot, and he's pretty decent too imho.
Karun is utterly freaking useless and hopelessly annoying, other than being a decent F1 historian. For analytical or current info purposes, he's a big, long-winded bowl of shit. IMHO Ted is great in the Paddock and pitlane, bringing a lot of good info from there in a usually entertaining way.
Simon, Nat, & Naomi are good at the fluffy stuff & the three or more driver features/interviews per race weekend (2 with Lewis + 1 other Brit), so I'll allow them to stay. Karun and Crazy Danica can hit the bricks. /csb
Other than the obvious and probably understandable Brit bias in the Sky coverage, I'm good with it - although it does seem to be getting more and more dumbed down lately a la the old NBC coverage. Gonna be interesting to see what we get if Apple gets (got?) US rights tho.
Solid takes, all of them.
Button was always one of my fav drivers, so smooth. He doesn't rock the boat though and can be pretty boring in the booth.
Having watched F1 since 1996 or so, I remember some of the bad commentator days. James Allen was nails on a chalkboard to me, so Cofty coming around has been great.
Speaking of all-time nails on a chalkboard, that would be Leigh Diffey. Hear he's a nice guy, but his Aussie accent is annoying AF.

Lulz.
Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I like Nico and am glad to see him on the broadcasts. Always seems to provide insightful color commentary when he fills in for Martin and doesn’t give two effs about asking the awkward question.
Swinging that WDC dong around. No fucks given. Also, fuck Jos. Hate that guy.

Last time I attended an F1 event there, I parked at Danny and Carmen's lot. I forget how much it was, but it was pretty convenient... for COTA.

This begs the question. Lets say Trump is in the list and there are pics of him diddling kids, would that finally prove to be his downfall? It's insane that I have to even ask this question and even more insane to think that he, more than likely, could skate by something as damning as that.

Max has scored 165 of the team's 172 points thus far.
If Red Bull was running Lawson and Yuki from the start this season they'd probably be last in the constructors, or at least fighting with Alpine for last place. That is Horner's fault.
I think Max is gone to Merc, Toto has a boner for him and will do what it takes to get him.

Sauber sitting firmly mid-pack. Pretty damn impressive how they got their shit together. The Audi hires making an impact.

We watched the first two movies in the week leading up to seeing this one over the weekend. The tone of this one is different, pretty sad. The kid actor did a good job.
Ralph Fiennes was great too.

Tiago Montiero jumping around on the podium like an idiot while Michael and Rubens looked understandably solemn was pretty funny.

The other day, I was going down on my girlfriend. I said to her, "Jeez you got a big pussy. Jeez you got a big pussy." She said, "Why did you say that twice?" I said, "I didn't."
[Billy stares blankly]
See, 'cause of the echo.

I just visited Alcatraz for the first time last summer, so this hits close to home.
I also imagine it would be more cost effective to renovate and expand a 175 year old stone prison built on a rock in the middle of a bay in the most expensive city in America than it would be to (for instance) expand some federal prison in Bumfuck, Mississippi.
I don't know if Angola in Louisiana is federal, but it certainly checks the bumfuck and Mississippi area boxes.

Why is Miami not a night race? Seems like it would make more sense, the night life nature of the city and it being kinda toasty during the day.
7pm in Miami would be midnight in London though, so that might have something to do with it.

All the interpersonal drama, general bullshit, and Walking Dead-like decision-making wasn't quite what I was hoping for.
Yeah, felt like a Walking Dead knockoff to me. We were just immediately into the town life and drama. I guess I preferred the first season's slog through the danger zone on their way to Jackson.
And that group of zoomers at the beginning were not intimidating in any way, rough acting too. I haven't played any of the games, so maybe it gets better.

Just to say it: I'm in Yellowstone about 100 days a year. The old and natural residents of Gardiner - the ones who are working in and around the park - are overwhelmingly blue. The rich as fuck assholes who have moved here in droves, buying up land up and down Paradise Valley just north of Gardiner - that's where the MAGATS are.
Back in 2018, I was driving down 89 heading into Gardiner and there was a barn off the road with a huge painted on sign that said "Trump: Brains and Balls". lol'd at that, so yeah, definite magat country.

leaves rant: I had a neighbor constantly dispose of her leaves and grass clippings in the storm sewer off her curb. And while a blade of grass or a leave does not change the storm sewer capacity, I don't think it was meant to be used in that way.
She was probably on that flight recently that had to land early because everyone was flushing towels and clothing and stuff in the lavatory.

I am not an expert, but shoot guns from time to time. I would say this is medium skill level, not an expert needed by any means. Depends on the gun and scope too.
JFK was shot from ~265ft, but in a moving car. For some distance comparison.
