  1. Mediocre for Texas, probably ends up ~10-15. A lot of depth/high upside multi-year "projects" that don't command serious NIL money, 26 will kind of end up a gap year imo. 27 & 28 will be the foundation around Bell
  2. I just don't see the resources being available for the 26 class to be elite. Too much quality depth & money are tied up in 24-25, the needs were/are QB/IOL/EDGE/Safety and maybe RB. But paying a 5* freshman RB to sit doesn't make sense either, they're day 1 starters and at minimum Wisner/Gibson will be back for 26. I think it will be a mediocre class simply due to how good/stacked the 24-25 classes are. And honestly overpaying for a nfl-quality veteran OT in the portal is a much better option than paying a 5* freshman to sit and develop for 2 years
  3. Elite recruits want max $$ and to play immediately. Teams now have positional multi-year budgets to balance and Baker is likely making 7 figures at tackle w/ at least 2 more seasons to go and Goosby will likely be a 3 year starter. Ojo never made sense. Why would you pay 7 figures for 3 years for what is likely a 1 year starter(goes pro after JR/RS-SO year, and hell he might not ever start if both Baker and Goosby stay through SR years)? Instead use that money to fill other positional needs next year, and get Brown, the top OT in 27. Turntine was a need because Campbell's a senior. Wesley was a need because Simmons will be going pro after 26. Bell was a need because QB's need 2 years to develop. This class will ultimately be viewed as underwhelming, but that's only due to how stacked the team is QB/WR/OT/EDGE/DT/MLB/CB through 2027. The only potential needs are IOL, TE, WILL & maybe safety/nickel. Everywhere else is loaded with 5* underclassmen and paying a freshman OL 7 figures to sit for 2+ years is just a dumb allocation of resources
