Big Josh has not thrown well this season.

The combination of his footwork and release have always looked off to me.  Someone said last season he had a weak arm- no, he doesn't. But his motion makes it look like he's throwing as hard as he can everytime when he's actually just trying to replicate the same mechanical action for every throw.

On the plus side, the Meta glasses are pretty cool. My friend Tony is a river guide in Terlingua and he got some so that he can broadcast live while he's on the river with the glasses + Starlink (I know ... Elon) and still have both his hands free. I am pretty impressed with the quality of the photos he's taken with them. He said they're about to come up with a new iteration that should be even better.

Does he have the Ray-Bans? My wife is mulling those over.

One of my staples growing up was a chicken and rice casserole with four-ish frozen chicken breasts, two cups of rice, two cans of cream of mushroom soup, and two cups of water.  Season liberally with Seasoned Salt (Morton's Nature Seasons), cover in foil and bake at 350 for about 1.5 hours.  I made it for years after I got married and really like the cream of mushroom/rice combination.  Fancy it up by adding a can of mushrooms.  I recognize it for what it is (mid-century casserole/back of soup can recipe fare) and haven't made it in years.  But it outkicked the coverage for some time after it should have been retired.

I do this on occasion except instead of rice I use spaghetti noodles and chicken thighs.  If I'm feeling fancy I'll wrap the chicken in bacon and brown on all sides first.

We export like 30% of our food on the whole, so nothing at scale.  Certain things that can't be grown here should be watched.  Bananas, avacados, authentic tequila. for example.

Serious question: tequila is made (harvested and distilled) within a certain area in Mexico.  What's fake tequila called?

And Boston ruthlessly hunted him on defense, leading to an uncompetitive series.  The best teams will always be able to exploit him on defense.  Luka will never be the centerpiece of a championship team.  Nico wasn't wrong about that, his abject idiocy was not extracting maximum value from a premium asset.

What lead to the uncompetitive series was no one other than Luka being able to score. As it was we held Boston to under their season average and playoffs average in points scored every game except one. Luka's defense wasn't the main problem.

Also the Wolves missing 40 threes - the most ever in a playoff game - and still winning because Rudy went for 27/24 lol

What a night and day difference in performance from game 1 to last night's game.  Game 1 they shot what 50% from behind the arc (someone said it was sustainable lmao) and last night Rudy looked like prime Wilt while everyone else looked like me playing at 24 with the AAU guys.  Gotta be frustrating to be a Wolves fan.  They have several ways they can win games, they just can't figure out a way to consistently execute.

He doesn't have to be he could just get his ass in shape.

Right b/c then he wouldn't need his knee injections and DD wouldn't have hit him in the shoulder.

I grew up loathing green beans, all we ever had was canned.

Then one time when I was maybe around ten years old, for some fancy lunch we were having, my mom made some fresh.  I didn't want to try them but my folks made me.  I took a tiny bite, then took another, and discovered how much I loved them.  Turns out green beans didn't have to be a salty mushy disgusting mess.  They could be bright and crisp and flavorful.

From then on, I'd always ask my mom for fresh green beans, and she taught me how to snap and string them.  Turns out that she hated doing that part, which is why she always used canned, but I didn't mind it at all.  I'd just sit at the kitchen counter snapping, while she went on about preparing other parts of the meal.  It's one of the early ways I began learning how to cook for, and take care of, myself.

Now I love making fresh green beans for my own family.  And of course, my kids don't like them-- they actually prefer canned! :)

I didn't know you had to string green beans.  I've only done it for snow peas.
