Well we are trying to outdo Florida and Mississippi because Abbott is trying to get Trump to notice him….
Well, he doesn't stand out in a crowd, gotta do something.

This list is incomplete without Odessa near the top of the standings.

Pensecola NAS has a badass naval aviation museum-if it's open to the public again. Since Covid hit, they limited access to military and visitors visiting military at the base, but it might be open again. Highly recommend.

Not optimized. But, It's nice, if you enjoyed the old Ghost Recon games. Nothing like the COD games. You have real freedom. The campaign alone is hours of fun, if you do all the side challenges. The DJ is crazy.
If you get a chance play Breakpoint.
I went ahead and downloaded it-really like it so far. I don't have my xbox connected to a 4k yet, so not being optimized is not a big deal right now. Looking forward to checking out breakpoint when I get a chance.

Went ahead and picked up the X series, and Game Pass looks really nice. Has anyone played Tom Clancy Ghost Recon Wildlands? I've seen some gameplay on Twitch and it looks really good. Just wondering since it's not optimized for the S/X series.

Are all xbox controllers this bad? Pretty set on getting an xbox series x soon, and don't wnat to deal with crappy controllers.

Just ordered Jeff Pearlman's book that this is based on.
I read the book when it came out-really enjoyed it, but I like most of Pearlman's books.

I saw the title of the thread and thought Dirtbike was back. Damn.

Me too-that episode was amazing. I think Segura moved to Austin not too long ago.

What will happen is belly-aching from a fan base that has felt like it's been slighted & if one thing is as certain as death & taxes, it's TTU fans feeling like they're getting the raw deal from the refs.
Uh...after every UT game, there is at least one thread on this site that is entirely dedicated to how bad the refs screwed Texas, so pot, kettle, etc...

Am I the only one worried about vaxxing a kid? We've scheduled our 11 year old for next week but I'm having second thoughts just because of the 'unkowns'-or am I overthinking it?

Yep-I'm listening to that audio book now too-kinda spicy. Not too surprised about anything that comes out of that book about Trump, but I'm a little shook about Milley and what was going on behind the scenes around the time of the insurrection-I mean, the protest. To think that those discussions were necessary in regards to what Trump might've been able to do just makes me hate that asshole even more.

Leander ISD has a mask mandate. They offered a stupid cop-out waiver, and I read (I think, here on this thread, probably from JSD) that up to 10% of parents in the district have signed on to opt out. But in my kids' school the teachers are telling me they're seeing almost 100% compliance, and my kids have confirmed that.
As I alluded to in my previous post, I'm wondering if the larger issue right now, could be the inability to gain adequate physical distance from one another. Last year with online options, there were quite a few kids who never stepped into the school at all, which kept the class sizes down and the capability of distancing, up. But this year, my kids are telling me that the school seems more crowded even than it was 2 years ago pre-COVID.
My wife and I are at different schools within the district, and at both campuses there is nowhere near 100% compliance.

Leanderthals. (And my kids are in the district.)
And you should've heard the applause when the Sup. announced the high number of opt outs for the 'mask mandate' put in place last week at the last school board meeting.

Have you been to Port A or NPI beaches? There are only a few access roads to get to them. And the beach is about a quarter mile from PR22 down those access roads on NPI. The dunes are there to protect the island and the mainland.
The vehicles don't really cause much of a problem that any other beach doesn't have. It's PEOPLE congestion.
Yeah, I lived there for a few years and I understand what dunes are for. Being able to park on the beaches is convenient for people, but terrible for the beaches in general. People who park on the beaches usually leave alt of trash behind (just from my observations).

I've tried to avoid leaving the house on NPI this weekend. Traffic is HORRIBAD on the island from the pics I've seen and reports from folks that were OTB.
The causeway was backed up to Flour Bluff Rd yesterday according to a friend of mine.
I do NOT want to see what the beaches on NPI or Port A look like.
Always thought it was a terrible idea to allow vehicles on the beaches just for this reason.

The Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola is amazing, but I don't think you can get in right now without a gov't I.D.
