Ford Motor announced today it had delayed the planned launches of three-row EVs in Canada and its next-generation electric pickup truck built in Tennessee as the slowdown in EV demand globally forces automakers to revise production plans.   Ford said separately it was boosting hybrid electric vehicle offerings.  The public acceptance of EV’s has slowed as hybrids are more popular than pure EV’s.  Not great news for AMYZF (RecycLiCo) which needs EV demand to increase to make battery materials go up in value.  There’s nothing wrong with AMYZF’s science or process and AMY’s joint venture with Zenith Chemical to build a battery recycling plant in Taiwan is well positioned with China’s push to EV’s.  AMYZF has $20 million in cash and no debt.  Just have to wait for EV demand to increase.

I think there's going to be a "big" announcement soon regarding EV infrastructure. Most of the major auto retailers just got approved to use Telsa charging stations, meanwhile they're all complaining about EV sales and Telsa isn't saying shit about their battery sales (which they projected to be greater than EV for 2024 in January),  CATL just got approval to license their battery manufacturing in the US, and Shell announced they're moving some gas stations to EV two weeks ago, etc.

It just became a "meme" stock on reddit this past week but I've been watching kulr since battery's started exploding last summer. I was only so-so on their safe case product (which just got approval for battery shipping at all stages of the life cycle), but then they just launched  KULR 1 in January which incorporates battery safety tech that only they have due to exclusive licensing and manufacturing agreements with NASA, FAA, and DOE related to battery safety components they've incorporated into kulr 1.

I'm long on them regardless of earnings this Friday for the battery transport and space market. They've got undisclosed agreements with SPACE X and Blue Origin...they've been NASA's battery safety company for a long time before they went public.

I think that is more of a preparation thing for Ewers. He still growing into the job. Last year was bad at home in the opener. Then looked great vs Bama. You know Sark used camp to prepare for Bama. Looked terrible on the road vs OSU. Terrible at home vs TCU. Had a month of bowl prep and looked good vs Washington. This year bad vs Rice. Looked great vs Bama, but again they probably had been prepping Bama for a month. Wyoming was bad. Sark said 2 defenses surprised them in the first 3 games (based on results it was Rice and Wyoming). Quinn is still young enough that you can confuse him. When he knows what he is looking at, he has proven to he can execute. As the season progresses, it will be harder to confuse him. You could also throw in the 3 high safety look., that has given Sark's passing game fits

Much better setting his feet too. Seemed like his footwork would totally break down if he was worried about the coverage. He's gotten better at it this year each game.

I think it's a perfectly reasonable explanation that also doesn't really address the problem. When Zimmerman and Moore subbed on against Iran, putting in Reyna would have been the wrong choice and not at all fit the game situation. If they were being cautious with Reyna having some tightness earlier in the week, not putting in Reyna for the last 5 minutes again Wales also makes sense. Reyna played against England but didn't come on until the 83rd minute.

The real problem being that the subs took too long against both Wales and England. For Iran, subbing Reyna on instead of Acosta to replace Weston (and shifting Aaronson into Weston's spot) would have likely been better.

I'm sure he went with Wright because of his height to help defend set pieces. In hindsight we could have used someone who can posses the ball. Assuming we don't see Wright again I'll let it go as a lesson learned.  I'm not holding my breath, but I hope he's been using Reyna sparingly to make sure he's fit for the knock out rounds.

    Bubble wrap Musah & Adams.

As long as those two can go, we can figure something out.

Need to throw Antonee Robinson into the wrap.

This is pissing me off. Hope it's just typical fanboi handwringing, but it feels like something happened between Pefok and the USMNT/Gergg.

When Gergg used doublespeak to leave out Brooks, it was understandable because John was not in form and had displayed lackluster effort and awareness in his previous caps. But Pefok has been fire for a minute now. He could be the target this team needs but doesn't seem like we'll get the chance to find out.

Only thing i can think is that he doesn't press and/or move off the ball like Berhalter wants.....even if thats the case I don't see why you wouldn't bring him as a sub for when you need a goal. It's not like you're ever going to put in Pepi over Sarget or Ferreira unless things drastically change.

i love Beasley. he was one of my favorites, until his performance in the 2006 WC (along with w we hike else) was so terrible that o was incensed. then, when he had his redemption arc and ended up as a starter on the 2014 WC team...man, what a story. love that guy. just didn't mention him because i consider him to be after the time of Pope and Cobi Jones.

I wouldn't put his 06 WC performance on him (although he pissed me off a lot around that time). From what I recall he was very out of form and Arena started him on the right against Czech and then central/left midfielder against Ghana. Arena just couldn't leave him off the field regardless of his form for some reason. Beasley was one of the best players when he game on a sub in the wide open Italy game though.

It could possibly come back for a third season if everything falls into place, right? Just recently ran through it again and it's so damn good.

It'll be out around the same time as the Winds of Winter

lol just wondering how I can get past the first few eps, is it anything like the books?

also, why are the belters just normal people? In the books they make em out to be long skinny alien-like people because they've grown up in space..

There's a scene in episode 1 or 2 where someone is talking to Miller and his partner about belter deformities mentions deformed spines and growths and they say every belter will eventually be elongated in a few generations.  Think it just wasn't  feasible to depict them how they are in the books on a tv budget.

From a statistical standpoint his first two seasons compare fairly well to Colt's. Here is a 247 article from this offseason. Of course, Colt turned into an absolute machine his last two seasons and won a conference championship, got fucked out of another conference championship,  won a fiesta bowl,  took us to a National Championship game, went 4-0 vs OU and A&M, and finished top 3 in the Heisman voting twice.

Sam is progressing really nicely and has a ton of talent around him. Hopefully Sam vs. Colt is a legitimate argument in two years.

Colt lost to Aggies in 07 and 06 (played hurt), he also lost to OU in 07.  But yeah hes still one of the all time greats, and best passer I think Texas has ever had.

He killed all of his victims from the late 70s/early 80s through the early 90s.

They caught him because he started sending letters to Wichita media outlets in the mid 2000s. I don't recall why he all of a sudden started sending letters again... I think maybe a local TV station ran a story about the cold case or something.

read about how he was caught and apparently it was speculation that he was dead or in jail that brought him back out

I watched seasons 1 and 2 when they first aired.  I missed the first couple of episodes of season 3 on first release, so ended up not watching it at all until just now.  In between, I started reading the books.  I had just finished book 3 when I started to watch season 3 on streaming.

The books are long and contain a lot of material.  I get that they can't fit everything in the books into the series, but they did a great job of it with season 1.  They did a good job of it with season 2.  They did a WTF job of it with season 3.  I'm not sure how anyone who hasn't read the books could even understand what is happening in season 3 of the tv series.  The choices they made to pare down the cast of characters really diminished the story IMO.  It just seemed too rushed/compressed.

I hope Amazon gives the show some leash to prioritize the story and not a production schedule.

I watched season 3 before reading, I didn't really have a problem following along

No. He's not omniscient. He just has access to all of history, but he still has to go back and watch the event first.  He said in the last episode he doesn't know if dragon fire kills the NK. Seems like maybe he and Sam woudl want to do all the research they could on what works against the NK.

Its implied in the books that bloodraven can see visions of the future.  Agree hes not omniscient in book or show though

I haven't read any theories about it, just a feeling I have been getting the last 8ish episodes and it's unclear if Dany's 3 betrayals have happened yet. The witch and hizdor (can never remember their spelling) seem to be 2 of them.

Anyway, I don't particularly like theorycrafting, I'd much rather discuss what has happened than what will happen.

the one for gold is clearly going to be darrio, they just decided to skip it is my guess

Nobody thinks that. The debate is whether R+L was a poorly kept secret.

R + L =J is not widely known at all, no one suspects it because ned is so honorable.  The only people who know in the books are Howland and most likely some Daynes, including the wet nurse Wyla who is employed by the Daynes.  Some fans think Varys knows but nothing in the text supports that, and i think it would undercut Neds story.

I also hope the show doesn't further go down the robert rebellion is a lie road.  Lyanna and Rhaegar may have gotten the ball rolling, but it didn't start until Aerys murdered Brandon and Rickard with mock trials then called for Roberts and Neds head head (without any trials)

Does Shaka's contract spell out exactly what we can't make him do to get the money? If not, can we make him coach/towel boy/toilet cleaner/churro hawker?

Move his office to the worst place imaginable. Take away his parking spot. Have people follow him around campus mocking him. Do whatever we can to make him as miserable as he's made us.

Quick, someone take his stapler away

I always struggle with looking up these Narcos characters mid season versus not "spoiling" the show.  One thing I thought interesting this season was Diego Luna's portrayal of Felix, as maybe not starting out super ruthless, seeming at time thoughtful/vulnerable/even maybe sensitive?   Obviously by the end of the season he's in full drug lord mode, but is that something true to the historical character?

I know very little about him, but I believe his mo was a bad deal is better than violence. That said he is a drug lord so

Then you and I watched different games. Reggie Hemphill-Mapps, A. Foreman and LJH had good days, but the offense was shitty.

Connor Williams, in particular, got beat several times by that 6th-year defensive end Maryland is returning.

Should have said better than the rest of the season (i.e somewhat competent as opposed to soul crushingly bad) , but according to UT Lawnghorn we still gave up like 5 sacks, so what do I know

Uhhh we saw them for the first two and a half games and they looked god awful against the P5 teams they played.

Can't remember how the o line did, but as a whole the offense looked good against Maryland (for whatever that is worth)
