Thats how people die.  In my world, both drivers would do some jailtime. In reality, if that is Rice driving the vette,  he'll pay some top dollar lawyer to get probation. Hopefully the league at least suspends his ass. If DPD is actively looking for Rice, you would think his lawyers/agent would make him available today. Booze should be out of  his system at least.

Bet that personal injury attorney that gets the woman’s case is going to hit for a milli at least…what a dumbass

Mrs Mo is Latina from the RGV and her grandmother was born in Mexico so truly an immigrant family. Many in her family are some of the most right wing folks around. I grew up in there as well and know many others the same way. I truly think it's a "I got mine, but you're not going to come get yours" mentality. It's crazy.

I have also traveled a lot in Mexico, Central, and South America and the bigotry that exists between countries and regions is crazy. I think that plays into this a well. I'm Mexican and immigrated, but I'll be damned if some worthless Honduran is going to.

This is what it comes down to. Many of those who immigrated here want to pick up the ladder behind them.  It’s a fucked up way to think but sadly it’s prevalent in the Latino community.

If I were to show that a DA's office was rife with cronyism, favoritism, and nepotism; or that there were shady financial dealings happening within, should those individuals be appropriately punished? Or should any defendant who was prosecuted by a said employee have their convictions thrown out and be released from custody?

Because I think we're inventing a new industry here. Forget challenging the conviction on its face. Just hire a private investigator, dig up dirt on the DA, and then allege that the impropriety should result in a reversal.

As a defense attorney, I'm on board.

I thought you were talking about the attorney general of Texas at the beginning of your post (outside of the DA part)
