I’m a pretty frugal guy in general and she knows I have a handful of vices in life where I let myself splurge. I made a comment when I decided to buy the bottle that I feel stupid spending this kind of money and without hesitation she said that I was the only one who cared, get out of my head, and let myself enjoy life a little and be thankful that I am at a place in life that I could buy it. This was in the Midwest at a liquor store grand opening in the neighborhood. Chatted up the owner and he said he hates keeping good stuff in the back but does plan to watch who buys the good stuff to see if he thinks they are flippers and then may change his policy.
Research tells me Jim sources 1792 barrels. He’s a great blender, but that markup for the 1880s brand name and his personal name probably ain’t worth it. U wish him well and will support him though
I’m obviously pumped for your good fortune... but I’m incredibly confused as to Why the first guy was not allowed to have his friend come up with him to claim the bottle? 2 people means it’s a flipper??

I watched it last night. Crazy that Sirico is 76 and Chianese is 87. The years have not been good to Paulie Walnuts And Charmaine looks the same 20 years later.
Ha, I already have one of those. Thanks for feedback guys. Like I said, I was just caught off guard bc I thought they stopped releasing these a decade ago. Had no idea there were new versions so had no concept on whether it was a good purchase.
My bourbon guy called me in tonight for his new haul. Nothing spectacular at all... But he had a bottle with which I was unfamiliar, which caught me off guard Wild turkey rare breed barrel proof Anyone got thoughts? He has it marked up over msrp at $59, but he always lets me negotiate. BB.com says msrp is $35, so I was planning to let it go and say we are too far apart at our anchors... plus BB doesn’t have a great review All that said, looking for Surly thoughts first and foremost
I’m in Houston for the holidays. Any suggestions anyone is willing to share where I can do some hunting? My parents have no brown water, so drinking St Arnold’s Xmas Ale this evening.
At a buddy’s house for holiday drinking and just polished off this bad boy. I felt bad doing it too, but he insisted... didn’t know they did Selects
I’ve only ever seen 1 bottle in the last 2 years or so, and yesterday on my hunt I saw it in the vault once more. When I heard it was being sold for 2x MSRP, I knew why it was still there I can find WSR, OWA, and others so much easier than that bottle.
