Resuming my Bond marathon again and moved onto 1973's Live and Let Die - the first one with Roger Moore, in New Orleans....

couldn't make it past half way.  it was that bad.  i dont know how this franchise continued after that

This started the unnecessary comedic relief. And, aside from scenes with Q, they got away from any real spycraft that the earlier movies had.

Sturm on the hardline highlights just how much dan carried bad radio.  sturm is little more than a bald, stammering pile of dead weight that has been woefully exposed when paired with no-talent ass clowns like corby and danny.  dan and gordo are the only true talents on cumulus radio.

Yeah, I listened for a few months, the show just never really goes anywhere. I get that it's tough without sports for most of that time, but conversations outside of sports is what made the Ticket great. Dan was the perfect counter to Bob. Now neither show is as good.

    The ABC Murders.

John Malkovich plays an aged Hercule Poirot pulled into solving another serial killing.

3 part series. Very solid if you like the Agatha Christie type mysteries.

Watched this a few months ago. Excellent.

Now I gotta find Concrete Blonde.

I just ordered this yesterday after finishing Black Echo.

Concrete Blonde is excellent ( yes, I'm reading them out of order).

Vic, if you're enjoying Bosch, do yourself a favor and pick up the books.  I recommend that you read them in order, but it's not a complete necessity.

I second this. Started reading the books after season 3. I haven't read them in order, I've skipped around a lot trying to pick ones that the seasons were based on.

In case it hasn't been mentioned here, all three seasons of The Expanse are up for free on Prime. If you aren't watching this show you need to be.

Also season 4 will be on Prime as they picked up the show after Syfy cancelled it.

This is so dissimilar to the book, that it is Hill House in name only. They toss a few little references in to the original book, but if this series was titled something else, most would never put it together. One of the best descriptions I read was they made "This is Us" in a haunted house.

I haven't read the book, but as far as I can tell this version took some of the character names from the book, added several more characters not from the book, made them all siblings, and put them in the house. From what I have read, the 1999 Liam Neeson movie uses the characters from the book, but then adds in a bunch of supernatural stuff and a bizarre backstory about the original homeowner.

I need to see the original 1963 version. I hear it is very well done.
