This thread is a reminder that the butthurt is still strong with conservatives that Hillary Clinton accomplished more than you blowhards could accomplish in 100 lifetimes and it drives you insane.  She walked away unscathed from the countless made up controversies you invented for her, and the worst thing you can say about her is she won't be president.

Then what is the Donald Trump 2018 thread?

    This thread is 9 pages.

The Donald Trump 2018 thread is one of 10 threads about Trump, and it's 163 pages...

All news articles about it have also been scrubbed from the internet. Archives are still available. http://archive.is/nC2ev

Tommy is a Jewish guy who was trying to report to the public the details of a child rape gang in his country. He will be in constant danger in prison.

I've also seen talk about why they are going after people for talking rather than stopping the violent, horrible crimes being committed against children. It's simple, on the one hand they can arrest people for twitter posts and have a nice peaceful day doing their Orwellian job. On the other hand they can get investigate and try to apprehend people who will threaten to kill their families...

IMO we as a society should be interested in lowering our rates of overall deaths, overall deaths from firearms, homicides from firearms, and suicides from firearms.

Too often I see folks say that we don’t need gun reform because most firearm-related deaths are from suicides. This is a dishonest point that isn’t acknowledge that our society wants to lower suicide rates. There is also evidence that shows access to a firearm increases risks of successful suicides.

Fountain of youth, reduce fatherless families, reduce fatherless families, and change how mental illness is treated (therapy instead of medication).

Most gun deaths and homicides are committed in inner cities with handguns. Why? I think it's because the kids grow up without a father figure.

None of these has to do with taking the rights of law abiding citizens.

Well played! Not only are you a very smart boy but you're razor-tongued as well! A dick measuring contest about levels of education is very productive. I guess there aren't a lot of "Clinton investigation" updates to keep this thread alive, so might as well fill the empty space. Speaking of which, how is it that you manage to fit all of that political knowledge and all of that sharp wit up in that noggin of yours, along with all of that empty space? Mighty impressive!

I don't post my paystubs on message boards (like Rocko) and I don't go around trying to convince people I'm smart by telling people where I went to school (like you). There's a special word to describe people who do stuff like that, but you're a smart boy so I'm sure you already know it. Or you know how to look it up.

As far as you know, I'm just a harmless dirt poor dum-dum. That's cool with me. I've never given a moment's thought to what people like you think of people like me, and that's served me pretty well so far. You should try it. Begging strangers for validation on internet message boards is tacky, and kind of a sad look.

You brought up intelligence and education level.

It's fine, the IG report looms, so does the investigation into the spying on political opponents. It's Friday though, memorial weekend.

Perhaps I'm sensitive, as my nephew went to Academy, purchased a shotgun, and blew his head off.

That is horrible. Two of my friends from high school committed suicide a couple of years after serving overseas for the Marines. Both diagnosed and medicated for PTSD.

Gosh, it's almost hard to believe that anything that stores a significant amount of kinetic energy could be used as a weapon.  Thanks for the update, Smokey.

No problem Jazz. Horrible situation, but it proves my point from the earlier post.

All the safety regulations prevented accidents, but didn't prevent the ability of someone with a motive to use the vehicle to kill people.

    1. Weapon

    2. Person

There's something to blame in every single mass shooting or these vehicular attacks... The person who committed the act.

This is a good analogy. I like the analogy surrounding traffic fatalities a bit better.

At one time, the rate of traffic accident deaths were determined by society to be too high. This was a complex problem with many causes, factors, and potential solutions.

Over time, we implemented was a licensing system that ensured only people with the training, appropriate vision, and driving history would get behind the wheel. There was a registration and inspection system to ensure that vehicles are probably maintained (brakes, windshield wipers, etc.) and fees paid to the state for general safety efforts. There was a set of safety standards set for cars (seat belts, roll over standard, air bags, braking standard) and an industry of designers and vehicle testers. There was a set of road design standards (turning radius to speed, sight lines) and an industry of traffic enginneers. There were speed limits and limits on blood-alcohol consumption along with the enforcement element and public awareness element.

The point is that we had a complex problem and we implemented a broad range of solutions and the general goal of all those solutions was to lower the overall rate of traffic deaths.

Correct, but this isn't taking into consideration the difference between PURPOSEFUL attacks and accidents. The vehicle regulations helped prevent a ton of accidents that were killing people and improvements in technology all helped making traveling a less risky activity. Protecting yourself with a firearm isn't a risky activity, but some regulations and technology have been enacted already to help keep it safe.

All those safety things don't stop this:

Sure it's a complex problem, and all of the different factors should be taken into consideration. All the potential solutions should be taken into consideration. Lets start simple, with two factors.

    1. Weapon

    2. Person

What are we more likely to be able to change with additional understanding and regulation? What works best without sacrificing our rights?

Then I go home, remove whatever shit remains with my bootscrapers, and forget you ever fucking existed.

    Disgusting

I'm defiantly not a "yankee POS" but I don't go out of my way to step in shit just so I can get it on my boot scraper. Sounds very aggy of you bragging about how your boots are for stepping in shit.

You promulgate Scientology BS, you get treated accordingly.

    You're a lying propagandist.

More deflection, accusations without sources, and name calling. You are really stuck in a loop bub. It's the pattern of the last 10 or so replies from you.

Tried to find the source for your claim breifly... Interesting reads.

I have that sock on ignore so I don't have to read his constant childish and disgusting insults.

Good argument from you and Brain though.

I give you a 60 page sourced description of what may be causing all this horrible violence in mass shootings, you attack the source and call me a "pussy bitch mother fucker" and accuse me of kneeling to the "Prince of Lies".

    It's a Smokey post.  It's always a lie.

So are any of the facts in the paper a lie?

    https://www.cchrint.org/pdfs/violence-report.pdf

They all look well sourced to me.

You can't argue against it so you try to attack and discredit the source by whatever means possible. The most common "appeal to group-think" tactic, it's getting pretty boring. People can go ahead and read it and decide on their own, or listen to you, and only read things in line with the gun confiscation solution.

I’m going to jump out on a limb. There isn’t a single major “cause” for the untenable frequency/magnitude of mass shootings. There isn’t one single major “cause” for the untenable rate of firearm-related violence in the US.

I’m going to go a little further on that limb. There isn’t one single “solution” to either of these problems.

However, anyone who isn’t willing to accept that the unfettered and underregulated supply of firearms in our population as one of the major reasons for our problems, please help me understand with a supportted rational.

    Top bait!

I'm learning (it's still hard) not to argue with lying morons, because then you're playing the lying moron game.  The only appropriate path is what you outline above.  You traffic in lies, you deserve no engagement and no respect.  You should be shoved back under the rock where you fucking belong.  That's the only proper treatment for lying shitheels.  Your place in history is already decided, we're just waiting for history to catch up.

So crawl back over to one of your fifteen Trump derangement threads.

You literally didn't prove anything here other than your weak strategy of name calling and saying I'm lying.

I used to read the National Review pretty religiously.  Then Bill Buckley died.  The level of discourse and intellectual honesty has fallen through the floor.

You might as well just watch Fox News and save the subscription expense.

No effort other than attacking the source huh? Pretty dull discussing anything you lefties.

Just read it and make up your own mind. Fox is dogshit btw, just like all major media outlets. But every once in a while they present some verifiable facts in a decent enough summary to tell a story.
