  1. Tommie Harris was much better at stopping the run than rushing the passer while at OU. He was never a prolific pass rusher (highest sack total in a season was 5) but he was great at disrupting offenses, nonetheless, by freeing up his teammates to wreak havoc. He was also very good at stopping the ball carrier behind the LOS (34 tackles for loss in his career). He was fast (4.68 40) and strong (29 bench) and was drafted high (14th overall) due to his immense talent and ability to impact a game with his penchant for making plays behind the LOS.

But, he never truly maximized his full potential, both in college and in the NFL as a pass rusher. I’m sure that many people had envisioned that he would become the next John Randle at Defensive Tackle, with his combination of speed and power. Yet, it never fully materialized as time went on. And injuries eventually took their toll and cut short a promising career.

  2. This seems like an overreaction. I thought he played with a lot of heart given the circumstances. Milroe's o-line was a sieve against us, and their positive plays came from him improvising. I can't imagine how having a less mobile QB could have possibly worked better for them.

He’ll throw a much better ball to the WR’s and DB’s.
  3. I don’t think there will be much of a drop-off at QB, this season, if Ewers gets hurt/struggles badly. Murphy’s progression is going to force Ewers to step up his game all year long while solidifying the QB2 position. This, in turn, will allow Manning to redshirt this year, sit back, relax and soak up the offense.

Sark has got to feel pretty good about his QB group, after this game, knowing that Ewers and Murphy can’t afford to settle down into cruise-control. All the components are there for a successful offense; Ewers just needs to grab the keys to the car and never let go of them because Murphy isn’t too far behind him…and now that he’s finally healthy, he’s only going to continue getting better…game on.

  4. Very sorry to hear the news. I’m sure you’ll make the best out of the time that you do have. Though one chapter is currently closing, a new and better chapter will also begin. Hang in there. May the Lord bless you and your family with comfort and peace in the meantime.

  5. No one has seen the revelation of what is about to transpire here. We are going to win these next couple of games without Quinn, Quinn is going to come back to the team like Gandalf (Quinn the White) except with a white mullet instead of a beard and lead us to a glorious rematch against Sauron (Saban). Mark my words. This isn’t over, yet.
