Rode out to Fort Davis for the dark skies. Just my luck it was cloudy, so I decided against riding out to the observatory for the star party. Rode the Scenic Loop Saturday, with a detour to the Prada Store to get a pic for my gf. There's a long straight section, but the environment is so different I didn't really mind. rest of the loop is outstanding. I stopped in the middle of nowhere on the straight section and stayed probably 10-15 minutes, just enjoying the quiet. No traffic, no city noise, just birds and the sound of the breeze. Freaking awesome.
Almost a thousand miles, rode in some rain(gear worked great). The GSA is mile munching monster, 7.9 gallon tank, cruise control, good wind protection.
Been awhile, I needed this trip.

I know it’s early, and I’m sure people smarter than me have already planned it. But Biden needs to present real healthcare reform to the country building upon Obamacare. Obviously that’s a winning issue for everyone. Fucking Brainworm RFK.
Nope. See expanded Medicaid, Texas.
Never underestimate the stupidity.

While I agree that the young people of today need to open their eyes and realize that denying support for Biden over Trump over a single issue will likely result in the Trump being elected again, I am afraid that you'll have to pin the 2017-2021 national nightmare on folks like me who voted Libertarian or those who could not vote for either R or D candidate in 2016. My dumb ass pretty much voted all R in national elections since my first vote (Reagan '84). My eyes were opened the day after the 2016 election. I have never voted an official straight ticket until the 2018 election cycle when I voted straight D despite not supporting all D policies. We have to stem the tide of the Neo-fascists even if we have to hold our noses to vote for a candidate that may mot be perfect but is at least not GQP or GOP who refuse to grow a spine and continue to allow GQP issues to be presented as truth.
This is me almost exactly. Voted for Gary Johnson and mostly R in 2016 and before. Since 2018, I vote straight D. If your ad mentions Trump, and they all do, no vote for you.
It gets pretty depressing in central TX. I could vote all day, every day and it won't matter in Presidential races. I'm hoping to help put Cruz out. Right.

And processing plants. Chicken nuggets and everything else processed will skyrocket. All construction, the hospitality industry, any of the jobs "real" Americans won't do. Ever been in a processing plant? I have. Not a pleasant work environment.
Good thing they're lowering the minimum age for dangerous work environments in Arkansas and a few midwest states.

That's not a good area to wreck a bike. Not that any is. I hope you at least got to enjoy a good meal at Ozark Cafe. Highway 7?
Hwy 74 near Newton Co 3010. Nothing but good things to say about the emergency response, it was obvious they knew what they were doing. Not quite as thrilled by the wreckless driving award AHP drove all the way to Harrison to give me, but given my condition i couldn't argue about the wreckless part.
Several times in the past, but no ozark cafe this trip. We had eaten lunch at a tiny store/sandwich shop, I'm blaming the turkey.
PIB's, I carry an InReach when alone. Probably need to use it more. Usually in the tank bag..... I would have never reached it, needs to be on your body somewhere.

Did you overcook the turn, somebody coming the other way across the lane or what?
Rider error. Target fixation, if you want. My mind wandered, I was over the white line in a curve when I "woke up". We weren't cooking, more semi-spirited I guess. I remember thinking, "ride this bitch out, don't give up". Then I was trying to stand up in a ravine. I did talk them out of a helicopter ride, even while being adamant that Trump was President (he wasn't).

Glad to hear you're OK @Liteitup
Thanks, that was last July near Jasper Arkansas. Compression fracture T7, hairline crack T5, seven fractured ribs...., all good now. 890 Duke R was totalled.
Kept my mileage down last year. Average 10/15k a year, little over 7 last year.

No affiliation, and no real knowledge, but these guys popped up on TWTex.com recently
Spot on about classes and gear. I wear Motoport, Klim, or my track suit. Depending on what, where, and when.
Buy a helmet that fits! I'm cursed with a long oval head, only found a couple that I can wear all day.
Gear works, ATGATT!

I used Streetside Classics to sell my Lightning a few years ago. Highly recommend for selling, process was basically painless.
https://www.streetsideclassics.com/locations/dallas
They have a huge selection of classic cars on site for sale. It's worth walking around just to see what they have. I suspect the buying process is pretty easy too.
Just because, my old Lightning in a vid they did for the ad.

We have an infestation of really tiny black flies in the house, no clue where they came from. I told her to just grab a can of Raid Flying Insect Killer and it should take care of them quick. She comes home with a can of some all natural, no harmful chemicals stuff. She proceeds to blast this all over the entire house and it’s like someone let loose with a can of cooking spray in every room! Oily residue everywhere and I don’t think it even unconvinced the flies.
clean your drains, especially the kitchen sink.
