You say you had a WSM - what about it didn't fit your needs? Use just the bottom section with a grate and you have a grill, and then add the middle section when you want to smoke.

This is what I did before my BGE.  You can also use a charcoal chimney on the lower grate and cook on the middle rack for high heat cooks.  I still have my BGE and WSM but if I could only keep one, it would be the WSM.

I "downloaded" Forza 7 motorsport after that and I am loving it.

If you like F7, try Assetto Corsa.  It doesn't have the same volume of cars but the detail and driving are better.  There's also the new Assetto Corsa Competizione.  It's an early beta right now, but has a lot of potential to be the next "great" racing game.

Count me as surprised by this and that they are even still open......I haven't been in the area for a while now, but the one time I went for lunch and got the poboy, I ate one bite and then just ate the fries.

It looked like Van de Kamp popcorn shrimp were microwaved and tossed on some bread.

Good for them if they are cranking out solid food now.  I hope all places like that succeed.....Just wouldn't have bet on them.

I've been twice and this was my feeling as well.  But having grown up as an Indian, I can confirm the milf action is still top notch.

I'm going to try the clay pot bases tonight.  I bought a 14" and 12" base, wrapped them in foil, and set the smaller one inside the larger one in the bowl.  Then I foiled the boil.

The clay bases work great.  No need to wrap them in foil, just cover the bowl and start cooking.

  5. Hmm, I thought they had a 10 year contract with MotoGP?  Even the BT Sports guys mentioned something about the contract being good through 2022 (or something like that).  Maybe not?

Does CoTA do track days for the public?

How much?  Should we organize a Surly track day?  Whats better than a day on hot tarmac watching guys in cargo shorts driving their f150s around a track?

Edit: actually, if a group can get a day of track time for $600 as mentioned above, that sounds pretty reasonable.  Or is that $600 per person...

A couple years ago the track could be rented for a measly $55K/day.  Not sure what it costs now.  Chin Track Days and MVP Track Time are two responsible groups that hold track days at COTA.  They aren't the cheapest but they provide a good balance of cost vs track time.  Chin is trying to get the track for the weekend after the USGP, so that might be a good time for a surly track day.

  7. And still undefeated at COTA.

Iannone did well for a minute.  Dani did well, also, considering he just had surgery.  Watching the Hayden stuff made the room a little dusty.

Hoping enough people go so they look into making potfest.

    Spoiler

When they pulled the bus over, I was really hoping it would be Willie on his way to potfest.

working in corpus for the next 3 weeks. any of yall been wading any spots around here. ?

Oso Bay is a good wading spot if you don't mind some mud.  You can also fish on the bay side if you prefer some sand to walk on.  Drive down Ocean Drive, past the college, and park right after the bridge for easy access to both sides.

What's wrong with 3M ppf? I got just the front of mine done two years ago and haven't had any issues. It's garaged 95% of the time though.

If I had it to do over, and likely will eventually, I'd probably go with Xpel just based off of the reviews I've read.

3M tends to yellow more than the other PPFs - IMO.  If it's garaged you should be fine.
