Not that impressed with San Fran anymore.....whoever wins the AFC(probably Ravens) should trounce the NFC.
It’s the playoffs, sometimes games are close. Bengals essentially sneaked by the Raiders and Titans two years ago before upsetting KC.
It’s SF without Deebo that makes them vulnerable.- 3

So you say you can throw across your body late back to the middle of the field huh Love. I think not.

Detroit rides their momentum and beats a very bad Mayfield (at least two picks).
Cinderella Packers hit midnight because they can’t stop the run; CMC has +150 all purpose yds. Love doesn’t get the ball enough.
Stroud puts Lamar on notice, but Ravens barely squeak out a win. (Definitely taking the Texans -9 in this one).
I’m so fuckin tired of both the Bills and Chiefs to the Nth degree. So fuck them both. I guess Bills.- 2

Scary Good.

Apparently it takes a long time to get anywhere from that stadium. Probably better to leave now. With traffic and all that.
It’s actually not that bad. That area is pretty dead on weekends. Candlestick was a shitshow and a half.- 1

Notre Dame is somewhere in this mix. And will have a stronger schedule than Texas.
I don't think it's as clean a path as you do
ND barely beat fucking Duke who is Mizzou with higher academic standards. Don’t hold your breath for the domers. -
A lot of bitches in this thread can’t fathom thinking ahead to a rematch.
What alternate do you have? We lost and nothing but winnable games reset of the season.
Don’t pussy out on me now, Marvin.- 1

To hell with comparing them to the ‘05 Longhorns. They are not even sniffing the ‘10 team right now.

For those keeping score at home that the 3rd time Sonny Dykes has beat Texas, lol

Yep. The “gimmicky bullpenning” actually turned out to be pretty shrewd.
Eh not really. I mean, they did put runners on in the first two innings. Giants just couldn't capitalize early.

Would love to see Doval come on in the 9th. The kid has a damn bazooka.

it's amazing we're only down
1316. It should be at least 21-0 right now against a decent team.- 1

"As black students, we kind of feel as if it's not like our voices are heard," said Al-Nasser Lawal, a senior at the school and president of the UT-Austin chapter of the NAACP.
As a graduate of the University of Texas, I am embarrassed that this sentence was spoken by a student at my Alma Mater. JFC, do schools no longer teach English grammar? Also, as others have pointed out, just because you didn't get the result you wanted doesn't mean you weren't heard. Welcome to Life, young man. The idea of trying to get the Federal government to force the University to change the school song because you find it offensive would be humorous if it wasn't so pathetic.
I mean, at least he put his name on the quote. Which a lot more than I can say for 98% of us assholes on here.

Would definitely second Pine State Biscuits.
OX Argentinian Restaurant - won a James Beard Award a few years back. They also used to have a food truck selling grilled meats out front on weekends.
Kells Irish Pub - pours a nice Guinness but they’ve also got a nice downstairs cigar lounge with solid spread of stogies.
There are a million breweries so just walk 10 ft. or look up a curated list. But a solid drinking alternative is the selection at Multnomah Whiskey Library.

Sark still waiting on his man for DC. Still battling LSU, ND, maybe a couple of others. Hope we can outbid them, or at least outsell them. I don't know why anyone would want to go work for Ed O.

Yeah, my mom makes a Mexican stew that looks just like that. It's delicious. It also isn't chili (at least not in this state).
If it’s called “Mexican stew” then it’s probably just chili.

The France Thread

It's a wide net for Paris but you will generally find tons of museums as mentioned before in this thread. Aside from the classics like D'Orsay & Louvre, my wife and I liked Petit Palais museum. Much less crowded than the larger museums and has a great collection of French art. I believe they're also open late on Sat/Sun. There is a great bistrot about 10min walk away called Savy. They serve classic French dishes like steak frites, beef burgundy, and duck confit. Probably not too out there for your palate.
I'm a big fan of the St. Germain\Latin quarter area. There are some nice bars with live music (i.e. jazz) and great wine bars. There's also an excellent tapas bar called Freddy's (worth a wait). Also a very cool street market/shops off Rue Mouffetard.
