Another way to look at that is every team except ND and Texas has an elite (Top 10) offense OR defense, and ND gets mighty close with the #12 defense (adjusted points per possession). Alabama, LSU, and Michigan are elite on both sides of the ball. Georgia essentially is. Texas is not even in the conversation on offense or defense, and those stats are largely based off Sam's efforts, not Shane's. It only gets worse with Shane.
I think anyone arguing with simply disagrees with the modifier 'nowhere' close

like 85% of that is factual. sam wasn't slinging arrows to moving targets, he was missing open wr's by huge margins and had been inconsistent. today's superb game doesn't make that stuff untrue, and this witch hunt to blast anybody who said anything critical about sam is still just as stupid as it was then. the vast majority of those quotes are not worth a bump. if someone said he sucks, he's terrible, he'll never get better, he can't beat ou, buechele is better, or something like that, then sure, bump away. but all you're doing right now is reinforcing the extremely noticeable hornfans element to this thread.
sam was awesome today. focus on that, and not bumping every single critical thing said about sam, as if we all don't remember what's been said in this thread or something.
derka, you've been around since the beginning, you knew the lay of the land
there would be repercussions; there always are, nobody holds back
and your shocked at this moment?

Yeah he got smushed. Looked like everyone landed right on his back.he had his right arm underneath him at the time as well; looked like at least a separated shoulder, but then he's back no worse for wear a couple of plays later

Surprised this isn't getting more talk.
Zero penalties. That' shit is unheard of. We shot ourselves in the foot plenty this game but for fucks sake how obvious can this shit get before something is done?
look how many penalties that kstate got against everyone but us; they went from one of the most penalized to nothing? it's absolute bullshit

But see Eric Dickerson. A&M bought him a gold Trans Am, and he signed with SMU. They didn’t give him anything. I know this because they said so and he agrees. So like two against one. Because sometimes... well, circumstances change.
this begs the question; in all the times aggy has been put on probation, who turned them in and what was the first domino, so to speak?

Infections in men that are not serious that get hospitalized quite a bit
some pneumonias
Infected foot wounds on diabetics
injection site infections
surgical wound infection
Dog bites and ‘fight bites’ to hands
gastroenteritis with severe dehydration
Appendicitis, cholecystitis and other boring gut illness
retropharyngeal abscess
infected implant/osteomyelitis
what am I missing? One of you guys who treats more of these can fix my list.
I’m deliberately not counting viruses/uri, meningitis, uti, prostatitis, sinusitis, bacteremia, or athlete’s foot.
I'll go with rabies for $500, Alex

I ventured over to TexAgs to see what they had to say after both games yesterday. Over half of the comments on basically every thread included, "But we have Jimbo". He is no doubt the highest profile coach they've had in a long time. If he can't make them relevant in the SEC and college football it might just destroy them. They have put all their eggs, and money, into this basket. It's almost sad... almost.
you know those dipshits had Bear Bryant right? he couldn't win there, of course, so went to bama and the rest is history

What happened to this dude? How has he become a complete non-factor for this defense?
someone explain...
I think he's doing a lot of dirty work that isn't getting stats, setting the edge not rushing upfield indiscriminately, etc.
we're pretty much controlling the line of scrimmage with 3 down lineman; those guys are keeping o line from getting to the swarming tacklers behind them

I wouldn’t put it that way.
I do think he had to be shocked at the rage from the fans after losing to Maryland again and especially after looking ugly beating Tulsa. Fans were ready to burn the place down, and I don’t think he expected that.
Herman realized quickly that this isn’t somewhere that people are just happy to have a team like at the U of H and that Longhorn fans aren’t satisfied with being perennial losers like the aggies. We aren’t handing out $75MM contracts with no expectations or requirements. Only beating FCS teams will get a championship painted on the wall in college station, but it will get you fired in Austin.
