    I have a question-

    1. We have read, in multiple sources, that last year a handful of programs had football player payrolls north of $20M, funded all by donors/NIL marketers.

    2. How much do the other 60 or so P4 programs pay? I don’t know- I’ll guess (pull out of my ass) $5M (Oregon State?)to $20M, maybe with a bell curve distribution?

    3. The “House settlement” expected to come down- will have P4 programs distributing $20M, with $15M typically slotted for football, coming from AD coffers (and schools required to pay that if they wish to stay P4): doesn’t that mean a big increase in football player pay, even when not counting donors and NIL?

Shouldn’t this mean fewer players entering the portal (better pay where they are), and higher bidding on players in the portal? It doesn’t appear that we have seen that yet, or am I missing something? Are most schools waiting for it to become official?

I just copied from the below from one of Burnt Orange & White’s post in another thread. Apparently, Bobby Burton wrote this recently. It may help to answer your question…
    ”One interesting note:

Some other schools are using a 48-hour mandatory filing rule to detain some of their players from entering the portal on a more timely basis.

In other words, schools are hoping the House Settlement passes before being forced to enter a player’s name in the transfer portal. It’s an effort to retain the player by potentially deflating a player’s value, allowing their own school to be financially competitive for the player and/or a combination of both factors.

The move is unlikely to work. More key players, ones Texas may target, are expected to officially enter the portal in the next 24 hours.

Until the House Settlement passes there are no FMV guardrails on NIL. Other schools desperately want those guardrails when competing with Texas, Ohio State, etc.”

Depending on when your time is, not too much later - or the good parking will be gone.

Speaking of - let's take a poll - when is everyone's seat selection times? And are you staying put, or trying to get better/more seats?

Ouch. Mine’s not until 5/7. And I’m trying to add seats. Looks like I may be SOL to do that this year.…and yeah, I’ll need to break out the checkbook to do that.💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸😭🤘🏻

Perennial" refers to plants that live for more than two years, returning each year, while "perineal" relates to the perineum, the area between the anus and the genitals.

I've heard the dad is great dude. He's apparently done very well for himself and was a founding contributor to FSU's NIL program. He's been helpful in keeping OT Goosby focused on developing his future at Texas, which paid off for everyone late in the season.

He is A GREAT guy. I played Summer League ball with Mike in HS. Freakishly talented athlete. He damn near walked on to the Cowboys as an UDFA receiver.

What did you fucking expect, you brainless shitnugget? She's over 90 years old!

When 90 years old YOU reach, look as good you will not...hmmmmmmm?

A bit trivial, but relevant to this topic/ I happened to catch where she turned 89 earlier this past week.  So, not yet quite to her 90’s, but hey, hopefully- if she has a decent quality of life- she makes it.

I was always more of a Mary Ann guy, myself.

Kamehameha School is pretty badass, actually. It prioritizes admissions of kids with some proof of Hawaiian descent as well as indigent kids and orphans. You can imagine how many of those kids playing o-line are some seriously pissed off motherfuckers. They have some serious grudges.

I think it's interesting to know that the school also owns the Royal Hawaiian Hotel, several malls on Oahu, the Four Seasons, a few condos in Waikiki, and a bunch of exclusive properties in Kahala (one of the wealthiest parts of the state). They used to own the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center as well. Many people who have visited Oahu have personally donated to KS without ever knowingly doing so. /csb

Fwiw, I'm in Austin and close to an Academy and it's probably 60% Aggie gear.  I just figured that's how they roll.

This. It’s markdown/clearance time. A good time for all the T-shirt Aggies to go get their gear for this coming season. Whoop.
