What makes this song great is back.
This was so good.
I was never lucky enough to have seen Zeppelin in concert. I saw Plant about 30yrs ago, but I’m 100% sure his band did NOT play “Stairway”.My question for the musicians/historians here- Did JPJ play both keyboards and bass when they played “Stairway” live? Does anyone know?

@immamac Can we please pin this to the top of the page/site?
I’ve only read the first page of the thread and I’m already confused.😅
I’ve a feeling that I’m definitely going to need to revisit this thread later this season and won’t feel like spending a hour looking for it.
Many thanks 🙏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🫶🏻

Exactly.
And should Nike choose to go down this path, I’ll take the Brand with a $55+B valuation over the competing Brand with a $28+B valuation.I mean, I get it- Adi is “having a moment” as we say in the industry. They’ve been on a roll for the last 20-24mo’s.
Either one of Samba, Gazelle, Spezial and Campus are on damn near every white suburban Girl in America. And now if you walk through the Mall (yuck), you’ll see the SuperStar plastered all over FLocker/Champs, JD/Finish Line, Shoe Palace and Journeys’ windows. Hell, even at a few select Famous Footwear - Bjorn (Gulden, Global president) & John Miller (US Pres.) aren’t screwing around. They see an opportunity and are going for it- however, have no fear- Once the street- meaning the “real” Streets (NYC/Balt/DC/HTown, Chi-town/East StL, etc etc) all get tired of folk the Suburban Kids, they’ll break off again and jump back on the Swoosh. It’s the cycle. It’s been going this way for the last 50yrs.

I wonder if CDC and The University have hit up Nike for NIL support across the (real) UT landscape. I see athletes with NIL deals from Vuori (Arch) and Lululemon, but not Nike…unless I’ve missed something…

Was all set to order, especially at $63, but then noticed they're the suede and not leather edition. It sucks but you can't keep suede clean for shit...
Well, only the toe cap, eye row (where you lace the shoe) and the heel counter are suede. The base of the shoe is nylon.
However, your point stands.
You could try a rain & stain repellent. I typically use the UGG repellent my wife and daughters buy AND NEVER USE, for their eleventy-billion pairs of UGG’s we own.🙄
but beware- a rain & stain COULD darken the suede- Which in this case might help it get closer to a “true Burnt Orange”, maybe??

Is it just the lighting or do they come in the dessert/sand/ whatever the fuck Nike calls Burnt orange?
This particular Cortez is “Monarch”.
Nike calls burnt orange, “desert orange”. Pantone is very similar.

This shoe sucks and its design can be attributed to the current trend of late ‘90’s-early ‘00’s when shoes had long swooping lines and angular TPU detailing. Aside from the AM’97 & some of the ACG line, late ‘97-‘03 Nike Basketball, Training and Running lines were very “meh” for the most part.

I have a question-
1. We have read, in multiple sources, that last year a handful of programs had football player payrolls north of $20M, funded all by donors/NIL marketers.
2. How much do the other 60 or so P4 programs pay? I don’t know- I’ll guess (pull out of my ass) $5M (Oregon State?)to $20M, maybe with a bell curve distribution?3. The “House settlement” expected to come down- will have P4 programs distributing $20M, with $15M typically slotted for football, coming from AD coffers (and schools required to pay that if they wish to stay P4): doesn’t that mean a big increase in football player pay, even when not counting donors and NIL?
Shouldn’t this mean fewer players entering the portal (better pay where they are), and higher bidding on players in the portal? It doesn’t appear that we have seen that yet, or am I missing something? Are most schools waiting for it to become official?
I just copied from the below from one of Burnt Orange & White’s post in another thread. Apparently, Bobby Burton wrote this recently. It may help to answer your question…
”One interesting note:Some other schools are using a 48-hour mandatory filing rule to detain some of their players from entering the portal on a more timely basis.
In other words, schools are hoping the House Settlement passes before being forced to enter a player’s name in the transfer portal. It’s an effort to retain the player by potentially deflating a player’s value, allowing their own school to be financially competitive for the player and/or a combination of both factors.
The move is unlikely to work. More key players, ones Texas may target, are expected to officially enter the portal in the next 24 hours.
Until the House Settlement passes there are no FMV guardrails on NIL. Other schools desperately want those guardrails when competing with Texas, Ohio State, etc.”

Depending on when your time is, not too much later - or the good parking will be gone.
Speaking of - let's take a poll - when is everyone's seat selection times? And are you staying put, or trying to get better/more seats?
Ouch. Mine’s not until 5/7. And I’m trying to add seats. Looks like I may be SOL to do that this year.…and yeah, I’ll need to break out the checkbook to do that.💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸💸😭🤘🏻

I've heard the dad is great dude. He's apparently done very well for himself and was a founding contributor to FSU's NIL program. He's been helpful in keeping OT Goosby focused on developing his future at Texas, which paid off for everyone late in the season.
He is A GREAT guy. I played Summer League ball with Mike in HS. Freakishly talented athlete. He damn near walked on to the Cowboys as an UDFA receiver.
