I can help you put together a good plan for less than that.  I go to London and Paris all the time.  Both are cities it is relatively easy to plan for.  I also always recommend booking directly instead of with a third party.  Too much shit can go wrong.

Feel free to message me.  For a first time, I think 5-6 nights in both Paris and London are the right amount of time.

On Stonehenge, you cannot get close to it, unless you do a sunrise or sunset tour, and you need to put in for that NOW.  You do that directly with English Heritage.  https://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/stonehenge/things-to-do/stone-circle-access-visits/

On Normandy, I did this with my parents.  We trained out to Caen, rented a car, drove to Mont Saint-Michel, then back to La Pointe du Hac.  We did this in late November, so days were shorter, so in the summer, it should definitely be doable.

For flights, if you have flexility, look at Google flights.  6500 for 4 seems high, unless that is a mix or business/prem economy.  For four coach flights, that is definitely high.

For where to stay, with two adults and two teenagers, I would look at AirBnB vs. hotels.  You need more space.  Some search tips, though.  Always look for properties with a number of reviews.  And preferably, you go for the AirBnB Superhosts.  For both, you want to be relatively central.  In London, I recommend Westminster, Bloomsbury, Holburn, or Farringdon.  Those areas are central and will be less $$$ than Mayfair, Convent Garden, or Soho.  Bermondsey, Southwark, and Islington are a little further out, but very cool to stay in.

In Paris, I usually stay in the 1st, but The 3rd, 5th and 6th are very, very good places as well.  You can get better pricing if you are willing to go 9th, 10th, or 11th, and those areas are very, very cool.  I also like the 14th and 15th, as there are areas that are very central, but also more residential areas so less $$$.

Thanks for the info.  We'll be flying from a smaller regional airport to DFW then direct to London.  Same on the way back.  I've priced flights leaving and returning to San Antonio, Houston, and Austin, and they may be a little cheaper, but not cheap enough to make me want to drive to and from that airport.  The flights I am looking at is through AA.  "Basic Economy" is $5,864 and "Main Cabin" is $6,544.  In looking at their fare description, I doubt the "main cabin" actually results in better seating.  With main cabin, you get "free seat selection, extra legroom for a free, priority boarding for a fee, and free ticket changes (possible fare difference).  Sounds like a bargain.  Lol.

  2. Yeah, that includes flights.  Pretty much includes everything except food as far as I can tell.  Looking at AA.com, those exact flights would cost about $6500.

The travel agent's itinerary did not include any breakdown of the costs.  Just a bottom line total for the trip.

  3. Thinking about a summer trip with the wife an two teenagers.  I've never been to Europe.  The only condition I have to this trip is that I want to take a D-Day tour of Normandy. Also want to see Stonehenge.  Other than that, I don't really care what we go see.

I have no idea how to best plan out a trip like this, so the wife went to a travel agent and she put together an 8 night trip for us for $24,876.80.  4 nights in London, 4 in Paris.  Also includes various day trips/tours.  Now, I am not a seasoned traveler by any means, but this seems expensive as fuck.  So, using my interweb skillz, I came across a website called tripmasters.com and put together a 10 night trip (5 in London, 5 in Paris) which includes various tours for $15,400.  The London hotel is Park Plaza Victoria London Hotel and the Paris hotel is the Windsor Opera Hotel.  I can still change these.  Also includes the Eurostar from London to Paris.

Anyone familiar with this tripmasters.com site?  I see good reviews online. Is there any other resource for booking a trip like this that is relatively turn-key?  I don't want to spend hours researching this shit, I just want to book it and go (without getting it up the ass as far as cost).  Was the travel agent quote we got for this trip unreasonable?  What should be the ballpark cost of such a trip?  Any advice you could provide my unseasoned traveling ass would be appreciated.

"Sorry he got murdered by the police, but maybe if he would have been a better person the murderous police wouldn't have been so murderous." Yeah, that's what any human would say right after this verdict. Dumb ass.

If he was at home providing for and caring for his child like a responsible adult instead of being jacked up on meth and passing counterfeit bills on a Monday afternoon and then acting like a jackass when approached by the police he would definitely still be alive. Again, he should not have been murdered, and that bitch needs to go to prison for a long time. But for fuck’s sake, people need to be a little more responsible.

  5. Glad this prick got what he deserved. In listening to the commentary after the verdict by some of the leaders in the black community, it would be nice if they would at least suggest that people better themselves also in addition to pleading for reform. Let’s be frank, a very high percentage of the people who have killed by police in recent times have been shitbags. Should they have been killed because of it?  No.  Can they at least plead with people not to act like fucksticks when they have interactions with police?  It’s really not that hard to do.  A lot of reform is needed and it’s not just with policing these days.

  6. I have a long commute and already pay my taxes on gas. Now, Pothole Pete is gonna double tax me going to work?  I’m sure Pete is ok with me and other hard working Americans taking it up the ass, but I’m sure as hell not. I just keep hanging on the fact that the dems are gonna butcher everything so bad that the Republicans will take back Congress in 2 years and stop this madness.

I ordered a Kel-tec RDB yesterday, along with a Holosun green dot sight and 3x magnifier.

It hasn't shipped yet, but after I pick it up I'll post some pics.

It's a good shooter, especially suppressed.

  8. Ya'll are crazy (or gay, NTTAWWT).  I despise Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her politics, but I would bang the shit out of her.  I'd even let Ilhan Omar watch if she wanted to.  Rashida Harbi Tlaib would have to wait out in the hallway until I was done though.  She's nasty.
