My brain: "People have short memories and love binary thinking. They forget we had extremely close games against weak competition, and start to think every win was a blowout. I'll never be comfortable until the game is over."

My balls: "The SEC is scurred. Undefeated is on the table."

Counterpoint: All of that "weak competition" were playing the mother of all jihad games.

    It was impressive actually.

  2. Yeah, just sue them and they'll back down. The NCAA was eviscerated by SCOTUS and knows what will happen if another case makes its way to them. It's either make them employees or the wild west. They elected for the latter.

Understanding Stewart is a shit-heel and your original point is about draft stock/NIL dollars; If he does have some type of longer term injury, doesn't taking more money early make sense?  He has all the physical talent in the world but injuries can derail just as fast as being considered a raw prospect.

I suspect his talk of injury (mental and physical) is meant as an excuse for giving up on his team with three games remaining. If you're an NIL collective wanting to acquire talent and the cost of that talent is high, him opting out when games are left to be played bends the cost/benefit in a direction unfavorable to him. That and he isn't a team guy, is a drama queen, and malcontent. And his talent, while good, isn't significantly better than his peers. It will be interesting to see where he lands. Has he even taken visits?

In my attempt to OD on aggy schadenfreude, I listened to Elko's press conference in its entirety... He said "quality not quantity" ~20+ times and stressed how hard he's been busting his ass the past few days. "You can't even really imagine what it's like to get hired days before NSD1"... "We could've tried to make a splash, but we didn't want to compromise the integrity of our program or what A&M is about." "Recruiting coaches is harder than recruiting players". LOL.

    Winning is hard.
