An over and back occurs if the ball or a body part touches the back court beyond the mid court line once possession has been established in the front court (ball and both feet).

I haven't posted to Surlyhorns in 3 years and 2 months.   I not only decide to end my drought today, but do so on the exciting topic of NCAA "over and back" rules.  And while I'm not a rules nerd, I can admit defeat when handed to me.

It's been fun, gents.  See you guys in 2025.

It wasn’t a foul. If anything, it was a backcourt violation.

Over and back violation requires the ball and both feet.  Just the ball isn't enough.

Respectfully disagree on the hip check.  If that was the first play of the game, that hip check gets called 100% of the time.

Robinson is far better than most of what we’ve rolled out against you for several years.

Agree.  I think he'll be a player.  Hope the last two games don't shake his confidence.

    You guys looked stout today.

    31 - 9 and 24 - 7 without Listenbee and Doctson.

Our WRs have improved the last two years (although you guys were the only team to hold Reagor without a catch) and I'd rather have Robinson after 4 games than Kenny Hill at QB.

Serious question -- is your offense better than it was the last two years?

My analysis was fairly accurate except in bold.  I forgot Kenny Hill was still our QB.

    Good game, Horns.

    What a parade of responses.

Look at their offense the past 3 years and tell how this team is not just as bad.

You guys are stuck in 2015, Listenbee and Doctson are long gone.

What exactly was a fluke about any of those plays?

The pass was six yards downfield.  The shuffle pass was perfectly played.  TCU wasn’t prepared for the punt block. Nothing flukey about any of them.

From a Frog, I agree.  3 huge plays made the difference, but luck was not involved in any of them.

Really wish that game was the first of the H&H.  It was high entertainment and I'd love another shot at them next year.

    1. I love McMurphy.  I mean LOVE the guy.  He's playing this to perfection.

    2. I love the flat out lies by Lionel Hutz, and the circular logic.  "You obtained those pictures illegally.  Those aren't of my client, but you obtained them illegally".  Uh, if they aren't your client, how the fuck do you know how I obtained them?

+1.  I also love that the lawyer probably opened the article thinking he'd see the "when asked for comment, Smith's lawyer denied the pictures were of his client" quote.  Instead, he posted the whole damn text thread that makes him look like a weasely dumbass.  #teamMcMurphy

It's weird but I think it's relevant. Sex toys sent to your place of employment is odd and certainly signals that Urban had little control/oversight of the program.

It's relevant when you consider that there are threads on the Ohio State board (post mom-interview) asking if Zach Smith would be reinstated.

  9. I think this is a bizarre and questionable headline from ESPN:

"Zach Smith kept DUI arrest secret from Meyer."

    http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/24367343/former-ohio-state-buckeyes-assistant-coach-zach-smith-says-did-not-tell-urban-meyer-2013-drunken-driving-arrest

Why Smith's attorney feels the need to explain this, i don't know:

"He never told Coach Meyer, nor did Coach Meyer even learn of this [until today most likely]," Koffel said in a text message about the OVI. "Much like the criminal trespass case, Zach chose to deal with it on his own and did not involve the university or athletic department."

Lulz, Italian football.  At least it gets him out of this state.

I still expect our friends in Lubbock will soon be selling their souls and have him coaching the Raiders again in the next 12-24 months.

Had a buddy who played LB in high school and walked on at Notre Dame.  Played special teams for them.

A few years after college, he decides to go to Italy and play football for a year.  He said he was by far the best player on the team.  Ended up playing every position during the season, including kicker.

I'm not sure if this lady is a genius troll or just doesn't get that posting a tiny bit more information on the bike would prevent the constant "is it my bike posts?"

In all honesty, if she posted that she found a red mongoose bike, how many people, looking for a free bike, would claim it?  This is Lost & Found 101.

I thought Urban could slide by until I saw these protesters? supporters?.... they have just invited a crap ton of women to come march on their campus and embarrass them even more than they already have themselves... which is saying a lot....  He is doomed now. I would check these people for Michigan IDs

This was my first thought.  This rally actually hurt his cause.  If they were going to suspend him before, I think they fire him now.

It's a coin flip situation, and the tie goes against the guys holding "me too" signs.
