You can blame Harris directly for having several meetings in which he is the only staff representation and he walked out thinking the player was good to go, and the player walked out thinking they’d been given an exit interview and then submitted paperwork for the portal. A recent example is Bo Barnes. Plenty of others.

I have met with and spoken to Harris directly. He is an unimpressive buffoon who thinks he’s really smart. He’s not well-liked among players or staff and he’s at Texas because he’s zero threat to Sarkisian’s agenda except when accidentally and actively fucking it up.

When people on this board, usually after signing periods and portal periods when the dust settles and Texas has done well, rush to give Harris praise and passive aggressively make comments about doubters and haters questioning him or Sarkisian, all they’re doing is telling the rest of us that they are know-nothing dunces.

And yes, Sarkisian was happy to see Glasscock go and he’s become one of the best in the entire country. Kiffin, asshole and sociopath that he is, doesn’t give one shit about being questioned by his staff. The right answer wins for him, that’s it. I expect him to do well at LSU accordingly.

Curious - do you think Burton chooses to ignore those issues (presumably because Harris is a source or he doesn't want to step on toes) or does he actually believe his schtick that Harris is doing a great job? Every time I hear him knee jerk defend Harris on livestreams I immediately think "I wonder if CTJ is listening right now."

Pittsburgh squandering all of their timeouts might come back to haunt them

eh i dont think so anymore. pitts gonna wind this down as much as possible

Funny how Tirico was losing his shit about Pittsburgh wasting timeouts and now on the final drive is like, "timeouts don't really matter at this point"

You actually think Flood is going anywhere after sark sent him out for the press conference?

I wouldn't draw conclusions one way or another based on Cheez It Bowl press conferences.

May be a bowl requirement for coordinator press conferences. Nansen also had a press conference.

Bowl games have press conferences with the offensive and defensive coordinators on one day and a press conference with the head coaches another day. Flood is technically the offensive coordinator (at least by title) and has always appeared at the press conference for the offensive coordinator in connection with bowl games. It wasn't some sort of vote of confidence or foreshadowing by Flood appearing at the offensive coordinator press conference.

    Georgia gets 8 home games.

    fucking wild

Georgia has seven home games, one neutral site game (albeit in ATL) and four road games next season.  That's exactly what we have as well.

  5. The Citrus Bowl gets to pick any SEC team which is not selected for the CFP.  Can't imagine they would not pick Texas, even over Alabama if it somehow didn't make the CFP.  Interestingly, the SEC then assigns teams in bowls after the Citrus however it wants, so there's no real way to know which teams go where at that point.  So, it would not be a guarantee that Texas would be assigned to the Gator Bowl if the Citrus didn't take it.
