  1. Head to El Califa and grab some tacos. Not a stand it’s a sit down restaurant closes at 2 am I think. Maque is right on the corner of Parque Mexico. Best pan dulce in Condesa they may close early though. Eat there for brunch if they are closed early. Bunch of restaurants in condesa so you’ll find something off Avenida Nuevo León.

  2. Folks still live there and was down there a few weeks ago.  They go to Loma Bonita Restaurant every morning for breakfast and two hour long coffee chat with their friends. They do lunch as well.

Yopos is a good mexican restaurant it's on Main. Tacos Morales is always a solid choice as well.  if you're there late night on Saturday swing by Piedras Negras Tortilla Factory for some fresh barbacoa and tortillas.

    That's all I got.

Do me a favor, for your own good, put your name in your books right now before they get mixed up and you won't know whose is whose. Because someday, believe it or not, you'll go 15 rounds over who's gonna get this coffee table. This stupid, wagon wheel, Roy Rogers, garage sale coffee table.

I thought you said you liked it?!?

I'm doing a couple of racks of St. Louis pork ribs tomorrow.  I have some chicken thighs brining that I didn't get around to cooking tonight . . . anybody ever smoke boneless chicken thighs?  Not that I care if I ruin them, it's like $2 worth of food, but any tips?

Smoke them all the time.  Perfect little smoked chicken fajitas. Chop them and server them with pico and a corn tortilla.  Throw them in salads during the week too.

If you are going to drive to San Antonio then just hit up Tellez. I have had both Delia's and Tellez.  Both solid but Delia's pork is a little bland for my taste.  Tellez is a much better tamale in my opinion. Got 3 dozen this morning.

Haven’t had Téllez but Delia’s Spicy Red Pork and Spicy Green Pork are top notch in my book

With delia’s not able to take any more orders, our tamale plan is hosed. Where can I go to get quality as good as delias in Austin?

Make the drive down to the Delia’s in San Antonio.
