  1. Or just feed everything through a 240 plug installed near your natural gas hookup(assuming you have a generator with a 240 rv outlet). Don’t be an idiot and forget to turn the main off so you do not backfeed the electrical grid. Turn off any breakers your generator can’t handle.
  2. Dont forget to have a stock of oil for your generator. During extended use, you will need to change more often than you may realize.
  3. Hard to keep up with this thread. Was there ever any consensus reached on whether to continue the angiotensin blood pressure meds?
  4. Outside of a hospital, where medical staff need to be protected from confirmed cases( we need them protected 100%), maybe the reuse of n95 masks would really make a difference(what I think your post highlights). The spread of this thing is because an infected person sneezes or coughs on you or something you touch, right? it would seem to make sense to go to any length to prevent the contamination of every person and surface by unwitting carriers. Would it not be effective if everyone was covered up and prevented from coughing on shit? Why not give one mask to every person on the planet and require its use for a month?
  5. I’m a layman in the med field, but it stands to reaso that if you are around an infected person, every bit of ppe needs to be discarded. It’s contaminated after one cough, no? I’d bath myself in the emergency shower after every visit. Much respect to the med professionals having to do it.
  6. Yea, I’m getting mine out of winter storage tomorrow. Usually wait until May when water is warmer. I bought wetsuits and decided to hit water early.
  7. I thought the masks didn’t prevent infection of the healthy? Seem to remember they were only useful for preventing spread of virus when worn by someone who was sneezing/coughing?
  8. You’re not supposed to that shit when you work from home. Pants are optional
  9. Nancy Helton is a selfish bitch and deserves a slow painful death from corona virus
  10. I take a beta blocker and an angiotensin blocker for high blood pressure. Do those qualify? Why aren’t we hearing about this more, aren’t these drugs pretty common?
  11. Believe I saw a post up thread about the first drive through testing site opening today.
  12. That’s funny. I’m teaching myself ti amo real quick just so I can do this at heb later tonight.
  13. I don’t know, it was all here when I purchased the property.
  14. I add bleach to the cistern periodically. The cistern is for rainwater only, well water does not go in there. The water off metal roof first passes into overflow tubes to catch any roof/gutter debris, the overflow goes to cistern. The water out of the cistern passes through filters (don't know the sizes) and UV light. Once inside, we have further RO filters for drinking water. The wells are in daily use and are operated by a submersible pump, pressure tank, and pressure pump. My generator can power these. I test my well water at the faucet after the RO system with a TDS meter. I have thought about fitting one of the wells with a hand pump, or at least having one in the shop for emergencies. If shit really hit the fan, I could always pull the submersible pump out of casing and just bring water up with a bucket fashioned from PVC and a rope. The bidets are powered by the household water pressure. That would be handled by gen at the pressure pump for either the well or rainwater system, depending on whichever I have diverted to the house. I'm not worried about shelf life. After 5 years I'll just replace the shit.
  15. Flour, rice, sugar, pasta, beans are all vacuum sealed and I figure 5 year shelf life. Once that’s up I’ll just replace them. It’s like $500 worth of food, maybe? I don’t really consider myself a prepper. The property I bought came with the rain water collection system, cistern, wells, propane tanks. I’ve just added the generator and other supplies.
  16. Had all this before, but.... 500 gallon propane tank 10kW propane generator Rainwater collection w/20k gallon tank Two wells Guns/ammo Dry food for 6 months Dry seeds/fertilizer Couple cases in f Tito’s Bidets, so fuck toilet paper Soap Bleach Basic medical supplies( ibuprofen, antibiotic ointment, bandages, alcohol, vitamins, etc)
  17. Grendal says you’re a dumbass for even locking your door.
  18. Why? It’s a phenomenon known as “white flight”.
  19. I have no idea what you’re talking about. Boat looks nice and shiny though.
  20. 95 SV grad, grew up in Bulverde. I remember only one stoplight at Encino park headed into San Antonio. Total shit show now. Bulverde police department for fucks sake. There’s a Walmart at 281/46. Parents made assload of money on 281 frontage properties and we all gtfo 5 years ago. Y’all can have it.
  21. I do the time share thing whenever possible and have never said yes to the scam. It is actually pretty sad seeing all the poors getting beat down and signing just to gtfo. I’ve gotten golf, universal tickets, free weeklong stays, Breck lift tickets, and lots of other free shit. Just did the universal studios ticket one last year and received tickets for all parks, for seven days, family of 4. that was worth several thousand dollars, all for about 2 hours and a free lunch. I actually enjoy explaining to the dumbasses how retarded the idea of buying it would be.
