Pretty sure that only means that Gundy's seventh son will be gifted with the Sight. Being the seventh son of a non-seventh son ain't worth shit.
Well, that's probably true, 'cause in the whole round world there's only one.

Are you fucking telling me that on top of fashioning an amazing mullet, winning at Oklahoma State, and running one of the most perpetually innovative offenses in college football, one of Gundy's other gifts is that he's a successful practitioner of necromancy? Unfuckingbelievable, that guy.
Didn't you know? Gundy's the Seventh Son. (Heal the sick; raise the dead; make little girls talk outta' they heads.)

Is there really "smoke" around Gundy interviewing for Baylor?
Gundy's probably playing T. Boone for a raise.

Your vitriol this past 8 weeks for Herman has been a joy to watch and top flight entertainment, but I feel like the potential assistants on the board (not including Lupoi ffs) are going to make it hard to not have a vastly upgraded staff when all is said and done. Please don't let that diffuse your hate, just throwing it out there.
Indefusable.

Is that bad (depth), meh, or good (frees up a scholarship)?

I expect a top 10 offense.
I expect a top 40 defense.
I expect Bijan to rush for 1000 yards.
I expect double-digit sacks from Joseph Ossai.
I expect a Conference Title.
Lord knows we've got the talent.

My wife has family in Clovis. It’s not bad for a weekend with them but I wouldn’t want to live there.
You check out the Norman Petty Museum/Studios? Only viable reason to go to Clovis.

He got fired from a historically bad program because he’s a huge dick.
In some cultures that's considered desirable.

Much like a Nolan Ryan fastball, the defense doesn't need to be fancy to work at Texas. Keep giving em the heater and mix in an off speed pitch here and there.
I think my baseball analogies are better than my boxing analogies.
Forget about the curveball, Ricky.

Well, Green was def better guitar player than Lindsey, but singing not his forte. And his squeeze didn't blow him off the stage regularly.
He got in that no-holds-barred, steel-cage match with acid and lost. Never the same again. Well, that and forsaking his blues roots.

Too late for those protections to do him any good.

I really hate being a voice of reason, I want to be a knee jerk moody shit head message board fan that opposing fans talk bad about. However, this whole situation seems pretty similar to what Orgeron endured last season. He damn near got fired, had some inexcusable losses including the loss to aggy, internally it was a shit show, but he did manage to squeek out a 10 win season with a future heisman winner and loaded roster. If Herman made the right moves this offseason, I don't think it is out of the realm of possibility that we make a similar jump back up into the national conversation. We saw in the bowl games the last two years that if we scheme right, we have the athletes to play with anyone. I feel like there is a chance we might do just that.
I'll be quite happy winning with a coach who's abhorred by the Surl Collective. I'm of the Al Davis school: "Just win, baby."

Words/phrases forever embedded in Longhorn lexicon:
A Watson = 59 yards of offense
Third and Orlando = third and anything over 10

Why don't you ask him if he's going to stay?
If he invites us to stay, then we'll go...He's got to invite us to stick around.

Anything that fucks over The University of Texas
Good on the "The." Most don't know that this is a part of our official name.
Article 7, Section 10 of the Texas Constitution:
"Sec. 10. ESTABLISHMENT OF UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS; AGRICULTURAL AND MECHANICAL DEPARTMENT. The legislature shall as soon as practicable establish, organize and provide for the maintenance, support and direction of a University of the first class, to be located by a vote of the people of this State, and styled, "The University of Texas," for the promotion of literature, and the arts and sciences, including an Agricultural, and Mechanical department. (emphasis added)
aggy is a department of The University. Never let them forget that.

What? Jones is a better hire in that role. There's no evidence we even offered Samples a WR coaching position at any time.
But, but, the Surl was demanding that TH get Samples back. Surely, TH listens to the Surl, right?

Yes, especially in DFW
I wanted Samples, but apparently he didn't want us. Hopefully, Jones will fill that role adequately.

He was thinking "money, marbles, and chalk" but it came out "hook, line, and sinker."

I thought NCAA rules allowed only bona-fide assistant coaches to recruit on the road. QC's were restricted to on-campus only. Did I miss something?
